Diamond DA42 Twinstar

Featured Replies

Some weeks ago, I sent an email to Eaglesoft regarding their Diamond DA42 Twinstar which they announced some years ago. I received no answer. Now, the Iris website http://www.irissimulations.com shows an airplane which I am sure is a DA42. Does anyone know if this is a new development or if it has been shifted from Eaglesoft?Thank You,Michael

We do not answer release date questions. The link you posted is not related to Eaglesoft in any way but be assured that we shall continue with our DA42 Development to full release. We shall have a look into this as the picture appears to be very similiar to our own 3D model. :(

Well of course a DA42 should look like a DA42. :( Especially if it contains the Theilert Deisel Engines. My reference at first glance, was to certain aspects of work that we know "inside out" about this aircraft but doubt there is an actual "overlap" between devs. The upside for simmers is that they will have choices. :(

This is true. What is the cruise speed on this thing?

The IRIS DA-40 is excellent and if the DA-24 is as good will be on my list.Lovely sharp VC and a good rendition of the G1000.Davido.

At around 80% power should run at ~170kts TAS.
Ok this is my type of aircraft then! And will it be the G1000 rendition?

Ryan, you and others are welcome to Register and Login to look over the Eaglesoft G1000 and DA42 here: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewtopic...?f=39&t=123 and here: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewtopic...f=39&t=1752In addition, we have a real world DA42 Pilot consulting and advising us on every step. While we never provide release dates or pricing prior to a Release Announcement we can say that we are making excellent progress on both the FS9 and FSX DA42 Projects. :(

Maybe the progress will come along a bit quicker now that IRIS have one on the verge of release eh RonJust joking Ron am eagerly awaiting your release :(

Ha ha, the timing would make it seem that way but we were already in medium to high gear so we'll have much more to show in the near future. If you haven't visited lately you will see that we are in the process of updating our website and will be bringing more DA42 info in our Coming Soon Section. :(

Looks to be a nice package. :(
