Hardware Prices in UK

Featured Replies

Hi all,I might be moving back to the UK from Australia, and I was wanting to know how prices for computer hardware are at the moment. Are they really expensive in the UK or average? Does anyone know of any good and cheap online stores in the UK? Thanks

Thanks guys for all the posts! Sorry Josh, Im not leaving it, I just need to know for the future, ie replacements, upgrades etc. I don't know if it's definite yet, but all out of curiosity. Here in Perth, we have stores such as PLE, MSY and Vtech Industries which have very good service and cheap. Just for comparisons sake.Just to compare, anyone wanna tell me what I could get for say

Cant blame a guy for tryin mate lol..

Moving away from Perth to the UK, is your medication not working? lol.I'd move to Perth in a heartbeat and leave this crappy isle behind.I'd go along with the first answer, EBuyer have always been fair with me.

Have you ever been to Perth. No offense but it's a s@%t hole. There is nothing to do here, and everything is more expensive here. Hardware prices are almost double. Car prices are almost double. It may be ok for a holiday, but I couldn't live here another minute, and given the opportunity, I would be back to the beautiful country of Scotland. The only positive about living in Perth is the weather. Everything else is a negative.

Perth, Scotland, could be your ideal. The "Fair City". Lived there for seven years. Sadly, my career took me away.Oh...and hardware prices. If you enjoy 'rolling your own', have a look at www.pcspecialist.co.uk

.....and that, my friend, is enough for me. I have friends who live there and they love it, I suppose it takes all sorts. Wouldn't miss the UK in a heartbeat, it's turning into the same thing you described Perth as. Unemployment, scrounging bloody immigrants, crap weather, third world road and rail networks and the possibility of a Conservative Government! Mind you, that one eyed Scotsman has screwed us over, maybe it's time for a change.Hope the move goes well for you.

How's this:Perth Au is full of Asians (no offense intended)the roads are crap and speed limits are horrifyingly slowdriving standards are terribleRail network is terribleEverything shuts at 5pm. Even your tesco/asda equivilant opens from 9am-5pm mon-sat and closed on Sundayseverything is double the price. Not much choiceit's backwardswe have MP's cheating on their wives with other MP's and getting away with it.Trust me, that's only the beginning. Scotland and England are nothing compared to this.

We've got all of that (with the exemption of the Tesco/Asda bit) and some more but you do have the weather!
