My experience over there wasn't positive either, I was thinking about buying and asked a question as a potential customer and I was told very bluntly that I had to buy to ask questions. So now I've been an 'occasional' visitor here.

Well, it's lovely to be talked about! But remember, if you've got nothing nice to say... :( Ah, the life of a moderator.Just happened to be trolling like so many simmers do and found this thread... as a simmer and a member of a couple teams, I'd like to clear up a few misconceptions.Robert H pretty much got it right in one. We are all human and we all have better days than others. That goes both ways: moderators and users. But, let me tell you quite honestly, as a moderator, it is SHOCKING the way some users choose to post their views. Quite simply some users are irrational. Not just sometimes. All the time. As for our friend Zsolt, who has been very busy of late, posting here there and everywhere...Zsolt has spent the better part of a week or two visiting various forums, spreading the word about the 767 and winglets and the 767 forum and how he was treated. To set the record straight here: Zsolt was treated fairly and offered time to post to his heart's content in the general forum. When he didn't get the answer he wanted he starting polling users about his particular interest and whether winglets should be added to the 767. I private messaged him and told him to stop. But, to come to other forums and post inaccuracies... that is out of line and parts of what you have posted simply isn't true. >Suddenly they wanted to know whether or not I am a licenced owner of the product. Never happened.>Suddenly another topic evolved a minute after I created my "poll" topic, praising the product, and I am sure that the company had many "member" registrations made by themselves and they kept praising their own sim - whatever, but when I dared to ask about winglets, I got muted... Wrong again. Do you really think we would do that? Honestly? We create phony accounts?I'm not here to plead my case, but to illustrate exactly what moderators have to deal with. Zsolt has NO ACCOUNTABILITY whatsoever. he can post what he wants, when he wants. Do we see why the thread was deleted? Not doing yourself or anyone else any favours by posting this kind of stuff Zsolt/Andy/Andrew. Do you just like to troll about and stir the pot?Enough of that.Level-D and PMDG are friends. We don't hate each other. We don't slag each other. We don't think we're better than PMDG or we do better work or whatever else some users seem to think. This is a very small hobby and business. We email each other. We talk.I have NEVER sent anyone away from the 767 general forum with "you need to buy the product." EVER. If support is required, and are asking for specific support issues, then, yes, you will need to register. That's just the way we run things in our forum.Sorry to crash the party, but sometimes enough is enough, and enough is enough: post responsibly, honorably and be accountable. Tell the truth. Have realistic expectations and enjoy this wonderful hobby.

I am really sorry, but it did happen! JohnTren (user) suddenly asked me: Register first and then we can talk! This is exactly what he did write! That's it. I can do nothing if the posts get deleted... But not the one praising. You are probably a great person, but I don't think that it was fair to remove my posts, I never used bad words, never bullied anyone all I did I kept asking about the winglets and tried to find out how many of us would want that, because many others already asked about them in different topics and because I got no straightforward answer. Yes, enough, just as you said.

Now you post that a USER asked you to register. Zsolt: be accountable. If you expect to be respected, post respectfully.

And one more thing to add: You never sent me a private message by yourself, to stop it! I DID send one to you, and you simply replied to that telling me never to send you another private message! And as far as I remember, I did not even visit the forum since then! Just to stick to the truth.Sent: 01-05-2010 at 6:48pm Sent by: DShutt Group: Moderator Group 4_star_rating.gif RE: NiceSir,I have been more than accomodating to you, but this is NOT a General FS forum. It is a GENERAL LEVEL-D 767 forum. You don't even own the 767. That's fine. You have posted more times than I care to count that you want winglets. Duly noted. Enough.I moderate this forum as I see fit. I see fit to delete the posts about winglets because you have been given an answer to your question. You simply refuse to accept the answer.Done.Do not PM again, please.-- Previous Private Message --Sent by : lucikamSent : 01-05-2010 at 6:42pm

Don't try to find a catch on me please. It does not matter if a user or moderator wrote it, we are talking about an overall experience. You don't have to use three names when you aim something at me - just to add to this, that particular forum anyway did not require further registration. About credibility, just check my previous posts. There's no need to twist things to make yourself an advantage. The fact is that I asked what I wanted to know but never got a straightforward answer. My posts got deleted, then entire topics locked then removed, and people including you were rude. This was my experience. And I do have the right to express my opinion. I did it in a fair way, I believe, but now that you are chasing me even here and stating that what I am saying is not true, is very upsetting! Now, please leave me alone, so do I - ok? I am here for different things, you already chased me away from your forum, so you can be happy - and here and now it is time to end this pointless conversation.Sincerely:Zsolt

Finally, back to what I wanted to post.My experience was good at the CaptainSim Forum, as well, the guys over there were quite helpful, and despite things go a bit slow there I would say that they are nearly as great as the PMDG staff. The fact things go slower there is probably because of fewer users. But I think those guys as well do their utmost, just see their 757 - had quite a few bugs but they kept releasing service packs and it is now told to be a perfect 757. As long as they are willing to hear what issues the users experience and are ready to act, everything is fine.

Zsolt, are you a Level-D customer? can I take your comments as objective opinion of their product? or this is simply a subjective view based on your 'personal' experience on how you were treated and not the actual quality of their product? Would you recommend I buy the Level-D of the CS767? and which one has winglets? are they good or bad? (the winglets) thanks!
