For Australia (whole part), We have ORBX :http://fullterrain.com/
Australia from Orbx is NOT photoreal but generic. It does come with a few photoreal areas but I think that 99% is generic. Their airport addons add photoreal parts too, but still, even with all their addons most of Australia is generic and not photoreal.

PS. ORBX is a combination of Photoscenery, mesh, landclasses and autogen. most of photosceneries are only tiles wich looks good at a certain altitude and a certain angle of view.Aerosoft, VERO and of course ORBX's sceneries are "augmented" with heavy editing. .SimSavy, newport, Megascenery, airhispania are not...
Let me repeat: Orbx is NOT (a combination of) Photoscenery. If you say it like that, than GEX could also be called Photoscenery. Orbx is a combination of generic textures, mesh, landclasses and autogen. Obviously photographs are used to create the generic textures, but that's something completely different. Both Orbx and GEX offer improved but still generic textures, although Orbx does add a few photoreal area's here and there (and is way better imho :( ). But you will never hear Orbx say their region packages are photorealistic. (Their addon airports are btw: the up to now best combination of photoreal and 3D objects and autogen!). The size of the products speak for themselves! Offering a part of Australia, the size of Western Europe, that's only 800 Mb large, should make it more than clear it's NOT photoreal, because the Netherlands (a VERY small country, about 16.000 square miles) alone is something like 32 Gb and VERO's SF Bay is 21 Gb. Horizon's Britain (not the entire UK) is almost 90 Gb. This should make it clear and obvious Orbx's regions (not even PNW, which is about 4 Gb but covers about 156,000 square miles) are NOT photoreal. And VERO is edited indeed, but mainly to create seasonal textures (which btw is impossible imho). Afaik they added some autogen near airports but most of the scenery are tiles which (indeed) only "looks good at a certain altitude and a certain angle of view". I don't know much about Aerosoft products.

- Alderney Channel Isle & The Isles of Scilly by Earth Simulations- Tuscany Photoreal available from OZx here - freeware.- Grand Canyon and KGCN + HolgerMESH v2.00 also available from OZx here - freeware.- Partly mentioned above is NL2000 v4 (just released) which is the whole of the Netherlands (+3d objects+mesh+some airports) at 1m p/pixel resolution - freeware.- Mount Everest HD, Matterhorn (Cervino area in the Italian Alps) and others from Real Earth X in Italy available here - freeware.

Austria, also by aerosoft
Austria Professional X is not photorealistic but rather something more along the lines of FTX - custom landclass, lots of 3D object placement etc. Some small areas around a couple of cities are photoreal but these are really small sections.Approaching Innsbruck X from Aerosoft contains a decent section of photographic scenery around the airport.

Not to be pedantic, but there are patches of photoreal terrain included in Orbx NA Blue. They include some industrial areas, the Seattle city center, quite a few mountain peaks, and even small areas like Bonneville Dam on the Columbia river. The FTX approach is to use generic tiles when they're appropriate, with patches of photoreal to augment where they're most helpful.

Not pedantic at all. :( But (not to be pedantic :( ) that's why I also said 'although Orbx does add a few photoreal area's here and there (and is way better imho)'. But I was mainly still talking about FTX AU that was mentioned in the OP, which (afaik) has far less photoreal area's (maybe even none...?) than PNW. Still, when you compare the photoreal parts in PNW with the total size of the area, it's a rather small percentage. Too small to call it photoreal scenery. But maybe I am really pedantic now... :(

What do you mean with "impossible"?
www.blueskyscenery.comWe have thousands of sq miles high resolution photoreal in the US (mostly CA, CO, NV and UT).And we are easy on your wallet (freeware).
My son is shortly moving to San Diego to take up a new job. Does your photoreal coverage include that area please?--Terry, East Grinstead, UK

Auerosoft Austria is not photoreal! It is a combination enhanced (custom?) landclas, mesh and custom buildings.Wolfgang

I just have to give props to BlueSkyScenery. The scenery is absolutely amazing (the locations in Utah/Colorado/etc. help a lot) and the layout is very well ordered. I have downloaded (and donated for) most of their scenery. And it's FREE!BlueSkyScenery is so good, it inspired me to get into creating my own scenery, which I hope to release as freeware at some point. The only gripe I currently have is that California and Nevada are being done at 2m/pixel instead of the usual 1m/pixel used in Utah and Colorado. The other minor gripe is that Colorado doesn't come all the way south to the border of New Mexico. This is important to me because the main area I am concentrating on now is a freeware New Mexico.

I just hope someone does a good version of south Florida sometime. The two pay versions I have bought were not very good. There are so many areas that developers and freeware keep repeating, like southern Cal, that I wish they would branch out to the eastern side of the US and do a really amazing package of Ft. Lauderdale south to the Keys. The BlueSky stuff is great quality for free, but I have to pass on day only textures. Kind of like those city packages that Aerosoft sells that have only day textures. There is no way I am going to buy a complete city and not be able to use it at night.
