June 30, 201015 yr OK I see Active Sky X, is that what you guys mean when you say ASA?And to run it on a networked PC, does it require anything else? Another FSX copy? FSUIPC or WideFS?HelloThere is AS6.5 which works for both FS9 and FSX. This was followed by ASX (activesky X) which is the first FSX only version. Then came ASA (activesky advanced) which works for both FS9 and FSX.Followed by ASE (activesky Evolution) which works for both FS9 and FSX.ASE is the latest versionThere is a comparison of features here:http://www2.hifisim.com/node/28There is also a sale on now, ASE is the one you want if you want the latest versionhttp://www2.hifisim.com/node/1256

June 30, 201015 yr Hi All,Any Simconnect based program running on a client computer requires 2 files to be set up and some SDKs to be installed and run on the client computer. It looks hard, but it is a few files and SKDs!Plenty of help at the HiFi Forum as well!!
June 30, 201015 yr ASE is an updated version of ASA, and it is available from Hi-Fi Simulation as a free upgrade to ASA.Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
June 30, 201015 yr Hi Bob,Sounds good mate! Can I ask 2 questions here please?(1) does that mean you still use DWC? Without it checked I find no winds aloft at all.(2) how do you get the default FSX clouds etc. I've got my textures imported from REX but how can I install an FSX default? Many thanks.CheersHi, yea I do use DWC with ASE, since I fly with the LDS 767 I don't get the dreaded S-turns with DWC coupled with FSUIPC wind smoothing. There is still work needed to solve this problem better. No I do not use FSX clouds, I utilize the textures in ASE with the ASE snapshot function and Active Sky Graphics.Bob
