Hi Thomas,Good question, but the wrong forum to ask it in. Project Open Sky develops for FS9 and does not support FSX, notwithstanding that a couple of their planes can be sort of ported over. They would not get very high marks in FSX, but as anyone who has pressed this point in their forums will attest, they don't seem to have much love for FSX or those that fly in it either.Stephen

Hi Stephen!Thank you for answering! So if I downloaded one of their planes for my FSX, they won't work very well... is that more or less the concept?Because I already tried using their a340 and 737 for fs9 but they didn't work...Well... Thank you for your patience!Thank you again Stephen!Sinceraly Thomas Achille

They should work fine in FSX, but they are not designed for FSX therefore it won't look as good as the planes actually designed for FSX.They are an interesting group, the modeller Hiroshi is very good at what he does. However if you mention FSX or any other add-on (PMDG for example) around their forum put your helmet on because you're going to get beaten. They seem to be a very closed-minded, rude, arrogant group. Excellent models with sub-par flight dynamics. To each their own though, their stuff is free so I guess that entitles them to whatever attitude they want. Easiest way for me to deal with it was to not visit there anymore. There's lots of other forums and other developers that are very nice to talk to and provide far better information than the kids over at POSKY.

If I had to give them a rating, it would be 5 stars simply because they contribute to the FS community. Not sure a freeware developer needs to be rated however...just be thankful that they do it for free...

I remember when POSKY started in 1998, with their 767. It really was groundbreaking freeware- i had never seen anything so detailed in FS before. I have the utmost respect for Hiroshi - he is a brilliant modeller and has amazing dedication this hobby. However, the attitude I have seen of the other POSKY members over recent years (coupled with the fact that they don't do VC's) has turned me away from the group. I used to read their forums every day for many years. I no longer bother. Too arrogant, too rude, too full of self importance, too condecending - too bad. They should can the 'forum' idea and just post updatesSome of the best modelling though - I will always love them for that. But i now only fly FSX Orbx

I don't find them rude at all, as you explained above. They just won't support FSX for the moment as most features are disabled there. Also, the flight dynamics were excellent, with the exception of the weight distribution area of the POSKY 757 and the high climbing power of the Airbuses, plus the insufficient rudder effects of the 747s. They will, someday however, give up on FS2004 and switch over to FSX. There are several FSX updates for the 737s and the 747-400 on the site, though. And with those models, merging the 737-800's VC is as easy as it can be. If you would respect POSKY's decision then maybe Hiroshi would think twice about his future models.

I honestly think there great if posky wasn't around I don't think cls would exist and some other developers that is were some started. some people don't realize but one of the modellers that used to be in posky who is Missi (FSPainter) http://www.commerciallevel.com/?id=77 also did the fspainter ai models the overland airbus/Boeing package cls upcoming md-80 cls 747 cls Dc10 lvld 767. And because of the posky team. we have one of the best Boeing 777 models with vc payware quality! a wonderful erj145 also with a vc. and of course the 747, 737, and the new upcoming 767 which looks spot on and amazing! little by little they add support to fsx hiroshi has added a few things so they could work right and even add the default vc from fsx which they look pretty good considering there default. remember there free we don't pay a single dime. they do this in there spare time and i think they do damm good job if they didnt exist they would be alot of great models missing from the library out of respect for some members I will not not speak about the politics that goes on in there forum.

not only do they have an arrogant attitude towards FSX, but they even thumb their noses at virtual cockpit flyers. Their huge sun shade in the virtual cockpit of the 777 just proved it. Too bad because the 757 was a very good package for fs9, payware quality.

Now they also start to have this arrogant behaviour towards FS2002 users as well. I mean, look at the 777 models. They don't support FS2002 for this matter.

I just downloaded and flew thier brand new 747-8F for FSX and though it was pretty good. Not bad--Virtual Cockpit was actually pretty good and was more or less functional.

What virtual cockpit? I don't see no VC! All I remembered was a version merged with the FSX 747-400 VC.
