Over at the Aerosoft Forum they got a plug-in called Tapatalk (http://www.tapatalk.com/). It makes it possible to go to forums on iPhones, Androids and Blackberrys. Any chance of seeing that here?

Our forum is IPB software, so it should already support it.

Unfortunately this version of IPB does not support Tapatalk, we are planning on updating and once that is done I don't see why we wouldn't be able to install it then.

Can someone explain to me what tapatalk is? I couldn't find info on the web that didn't look like hyroglifics to me. I already use my iPhone4 to access the forums quite regularly by simply using the HTML capabilities. Does tapatalk make it more like using an app?

As soon as AVSIM is accepted as a member of the Tapatalk forums listings, AVSIM will also be available through your Andriod, IPhone, Blackberry or Nokia (coming soon). The AVSIM Tapatalk system is now online and you can subscribe via your Ipad/Iphone, Nokia, BlackBerry, and Android.

It's not that big of a deal for me to be honest, I think the way the board works by default with the iPhone in Safari is nicer anyway

I also like the way the new forums look on my iPhone but I do have one question, when using my iPhone for accessing the forums I'm missing a couple of options like the button for watching/stop watching a topic for example. Or maybe it's an option somewhere in my AVSIM profile I've missed?

There is also an App for iphone for viewing any IPB powered forum. What your are looking at there is the mobile skin set so you don't see it all

I tried the app but I prefer to simply click the link I get in the email when a new post is made in a thread I'm watching. Is there any way to get the full version of the AVSIM Forums even though you're coming from an iPhone instead of the mobile version?
