July 17, 201015 yr I don't post in this forum much, so bear with me. :(Saw that a new A320 was going to be released for FSX on the Avsim homepage, here is the link to Just Flights page:http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=523# Danny
July 17, 201015 yr Yup, a fairly 'lite' treatment, but then again, you can pre-order it for less than eight quid, so it might be worth a punt. Looks pretty, although the FMC does indeed seem very light on features, so it's debatable how much it will please the more serious type of simmer. If the ISG gauges expand to have some Airbus FMC options, it could end up being worth a shot, but it will face serious competition from the Aerosoft one that is due out very soon.Eight quid for a new A320, even a lite one, is not bad value though.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
July 17, 201015 yr From the screen shots it doesn't look like much of an improvement over the PA A320 merged with the default A321 VC.I would like to see more night shots of the VC. July 19, 201015 yr Not bad, but Microsoft has won in this VC competition. Particularly because Microsoft's A321 VC is just better to look at. "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO

July 19, 201015 yr I'm presuming that it flies better than the default MS Airbus though, which has an atrociously bad flight model. So even as simple as it may be, there's little doubt that it will be an improvement on the default Airbus, since it could hardly be worse, even with a lesser VC.I demo'd how bad that default MS Airbus is to a friend, who is actually a designer for the real Airbus company (he designed part of the A400 amongst other things), and he nearly fell of the chair laughing at the way it flew. If I was the type to indulge in conspiracy theories, I'd suspect Boeing paid someone at Aces to make it that way LOLAl Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I read someone, somewhere - it might have been Mathijs at Aerosoft himself (apologies if not..) - saying that the default Airbus had a pretty good flight model and rendition of FBW. But I've never got beyond crashing it, or over-stressing it. It's hopeless.Ian
