Wilco's new Airbus?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to update AIRAC for Wilco Airbus Vol 1. for FSX? Navigraph is just for FS9 version (PIC).
That should be possible, yes. navigraph does not officially support the Wilco Airbus Volumes. The Wilco Airbus you see in Navigraph's list is NOT the Airbus series of Airbus Volume 1! Instead, you need to use the AIRAC cycles that provides data for the 737. That one is shared with Airbus Volume 1 and it works fine.

Feelthere did this to their version two

with this type of quality, the enhanced Airbus from Wilco will be awesome.

So, just to be clear, I should download "Wilco/Feelthere 737/777, ERJ, Legacy" FMS data at Navigraph and it works ok with Wilco Airbus Vol 1. for FSX? Yesterday I blew 20 credits for wrong AIRAC (the FS9 one) that's why I want to be 100% sure.

You didn't blow 20 credits for nothing, You get that airac cycle for every version of their FMS data for 20 credits, and you can download them as many times as you want until the cycle ends. (Usually at the beginning of each month IIRC)Yes that is the correct one, and you won't be charged 20 credits if you were charged yesterday. :(

That's great, thank you!One more thing.. I'm looking all over for one screenshot of VC lightning at night but can't find anything (even on the official site I found a lot of screenshots but nothing at all from night).. in my opinion VC night lightning looks kinda funny (some gauges are dark, some too bright,..). Just want to check if this is normal.

Here's a piccie of the VC night lighting.Top one is with the panel lights on. Bottom is with them off.

Thank you for posting these pictures. My VC does not look like that (lights wise) :( I suspect 3d lights reduxe (installed it before trying aircraft at night). I'll check it out when I come home, I hope this is the case.So far I quite like Wilco Airbus even though it's old and not so deep like PMDG (but much more deep than default!). I think it's going to be perfect for some relaxed flights after work until we get something better. I'm not always in the mood for in-depth flights with 30 minutes preparation, checklists, ... before engine startup.
I too think that a lot of confusion arises from what people think is lite or in depth simulation. I myself enjoy all of PMDG offerings however I never use the failures, I am really only interested in normal flight operations, which means mostly that the plane needs to be operated in the correct way and you need to work the FMC and it operates as it does in plane under normal ops, ie it has proper vnav lnav sid/stars whatever (I think the J41 is pretty perfect in this way), I don't care if the toliet lights don't work if the left tire gets a puncture or this hydraulic system controls these things in a failure. I am not training to be a Airbus Pilot and if i ever had to fly one because the pilots passed out or something I would pray that the plane was still able to be operated by autopilot and the FMCG which I would hopefully know how to operate for normal operations! So a indepth simulation for me is one that simulates normal operations, to call that a lite sim is to say that all those pilots up there are just been lite pilots while flying us around the world :( The in depth system failure omg the coffee maker wont run we lost the right engine drive is super indepth for me and I assume pilots themselves only experience them in the simulator for their working careers, with a very few really unlucky ones getting it in flight. I appreciate for some people this makes the simulation a in depth one, but for me they are not relevant to flying the plane in its day to day operations, and as such are icing on the cake. Paul
Very good point. I was in the Delta simulators up here in Eagan and I can attest to the validity of this. For the record we have allot to be grateful for concerning what's at our fingertips and how it compares to normal operations. Just to let you guys know PMDG nailed it with their 744, I was surprised...

You can brighten or darken the main gauges by pointing to the PFD, ND, EICAS and roll the mouse wheel.

Thanks
