Deleated default aircraft

Whatever the case you may have run into prior, a total reinstall of FSX should be anyone's last resort.

FSX stores a copy of your SimObjects folder in Application Data (XP) or AppData (Vista). It's a "Hidden Folder". Maybe you can restore aircraft from there. Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

FYI - Basically the only thing kept in those folders is a record of your engine(s) time. The aircraft itself is not there.
To clarify, this directs to the "Crack" folder located on both installation disks. Greg.
Unfortunately, the repair install won't work if you have any of the software files missing, such as the "crack" files that came with the DVD when you first installed FSX. Mine was completely corrupted once, and I had to install the whole thing from scratch. Suprisingly, the add-on aircraft remained1
Well, Dave - I reckon you should be talking to whoever sold you your copy of FSX. There is NO "Crack" folder on either disk.....

There is not and will never be a "crack" folder in any genuine MS product. :(
