August 8, 201015 yr It'd be cool to see unrealistic circles of light on the ground in broad daylight? :( now that wasn't very nice!! August 8, 201015 yr It'd be cool to see unrealistic circles of light on the ground in broad daylight? On the other hand it would be cool NOT to see the wet runway effect trailing the aircraft once airborne.Regards,Harry
August 8, 201015 yr It'd be cool to see unrealistic circles of light on the ground in broad daylight?so is that unrealistic? you never been in a real aircraft with strobes? arent you?
August 8, 201015 yr Commercial Member so is that unrealistic? you never been in a real aircraft with strobes? arent you? in broad daylightBefore getting 'smart', I'd read what Ryan posted... Nick Collett i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz, GTX 480, 8GB Corsair 8-8-8-24, 300GB WD Velociraptor, Corsair HX850W
August 8, 201015 yr Before getting 'smart', I'd read what Ryan posted...thats not what i mean.. if you can see them in fs only at night/evening or at day is another question.. "unrealistic circles of light" ;-)
August 9, 201015 yr From my experirne while when real flying, if it's a little dull you can see the strobe under the fuselage light up the undercarrige and wing struts, but when it is really bright and sunny, you can't see any evidence from the cockpit,
August 9, 201015 yr Interestingly enough, boeingngx hasn't been signing his name throughout this entire thread. Although this may not be deemed as actual 'PMDG Support", shouldn't we ALL abide by the rules?Regardless, as Tim said, you can't see aircraft light evidence on the ground in broad daylight. At night, you can see the full effect of any landing light on the ground, but not during the day. Same goes for strobes. Erik L.
August 9, 201015 yr I think the light flashing on the ground looks pretty sweet, especially at darker times of the day. I just think it should have much more fade around the edges and perhaps be a little less bright. The down side would be one more thing I would worry about when trying to troubleshoot low fps :wink:Anyway, looks way cool in my opinion. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
September 9, 201015 yr check it out guys...hope all simmers will like it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz0KV6P-_Jo
September 10, 201015 yr Wow, I think the "circles" do indeed look real, but then again someone seems to have underestimated the speed of light there... Actually over a distance of a few meters from the wing tip down to the ground the actual strobes and their light circles should appear at about the same time to the human eye, not with a 2-sec delay... which, in turn, renders the whole thing quite a bit uncool. LOL :( (I should add that I honestly appreciate the effort that has gone into this but this major issue certainly needs to be fixed IMHO! Or is it like always, an "FS limitation"?)
September 10, 201015 yr
Very nice! How does it look during daylight hours?

thanx, not visible during daylight anymore !!!

There are some "FS limitation" also, you might noticed that in the window view at later part of the video, effect is more or less synchronized !!
