New Microsoft Flight Simulator announced!

I'm not sure why they need to know the answer to a question like that. Presumably they requested an explanation as to why we liked (or didn't like) it? Someone saying that they "liked" it isn't going to provide much useful information.
Good point, which part are we supposed to like?Having accepted the death of the franchise I am over joyed at any sequel. Whatever Microsoft thinks will keep its interest is fine with me.Speed

MS, what about fixing some issues in FSX, BEFORE you start blowing the trumpet about some new 'fantastic' simulator.win my sympathy back first
MS Fired the team that developed FSX, so it is unlikely for FSX to be updated ever again. And why would the try and fix it if they are releasing flight. It would discourage people from buying their new, better flight simulator.

OHMG, what do i care about MS sales....not a thing. If the previous product, wich is still sold today officialy btw, has major flaws, how then are people entousiastic about another episode.can't believe the yahoo attitude here, be a demanding customer!!
Jeez, calm down!!! The ACES team is gone. (Although many were rehired to work on Flight) Microsoft is going to release Flight eventually. It will become the "current FS." FSX will most likely be history for them, as they will want to focus on selling Flight, updating it, and such. They won't waste time updating a 4 year old release when they can put out a completely new sim with major improvements. It's all about sales for them. It appears they are also trying to get new customers with Flight by making it seem simpler for the beginner.

I don't really know how MS could make Flight any "simpler" for the beginner. After all, in FSX at least, all you had to do with load FSX then hit "Fly Now" and bingo you're flying the trike over some town in (Washington State?)How much simpler can you make this?Cheers,

Well, maybe I didn't quite word that right. What I'm trying to say is that they probably dropped "simulator" from the name to appeal to a wider audience, such as the average gamer.
