August 23, 201015 yr This is the complete list of the NEW things that are corrected with this service pack: - Corrects the DME display when the distance to the VOR is more than 99 miles.- Solves an issue related to turning on and off ADF1 and ADF2.- Solves an issue with the Flight Plan Display letters. Haven't checked it myself yet, but this was all that was left after removing the things that were already patched in the previous service packs. I don't think I had a problem with any of the listed things. So we waited this long to get this...? Can anyone check if the MUSTBE typo is corrected? Or if you can enable the cursor on the VC GNS? I don't feel like downloading and installing this one because it will probably make a mess of my edited xml files.
August 23, 201015 yr Thanks for releasing the patch. Off to re-download the plane! Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
August 23, 201015 yr Can anyone check if the MUSTBE typo is corrected? No change, as best I can tell. Bert
August 24, 201015 yr No change, as best I can tell.Ok... that tells it all imho...On the Orbx forum I posted something which I will paste and copy over here, if you don't mind. It was a reply to a post of mine in which (as usual) I was a bit bitter about Carenado. A little harsh J!. The MUSTBE issue was fixed a long time ago, I got a simple texture file from the Carenado AVSIM forum that fixed it up. I have followed your posts around the various foriums J, you seem to want absolute perfection, but I doubt we will ever see that on the FSX platform, some come close, but close is all we will get I think. Just go fly and have fun, isn't that what this is all about? Meanwhile, I'm in the lengthy queue to get the Carenado C208, can't wait! ;) The thing is: I LOVE this plane... And that's why I am so annoyed Carenado doens't fix things properly. I know you can get that MUSTBE corrected easily, but a lot of their customers don't visit their forum and don't know how to fix it. Not every FS flyer is a forum nut...! ;D They simply deliver beta's and if it wasn't for the numerous complaints, they wouldn't even fix things.Getting hurt by the ones you love the most, is the hardest. The Bonanza has been my default plane almost since the day it was released and I er... don't like how the parents (Carenado) treat their kid, so to speak. I know I scream and shout I won't buy another plane from them, but I can't stand getting another great plane that's just not finished as it should be!!!In that regard: nojwod's post really made me laugh: I think that calling bugs and mistakes 'realistic' is a bit off. Even though I know what you mean and I respect it that you can see it as realistic failures in the plane. But what IS realistic is for instance the absence of the strobe in the C185F or the simple AP and other little things that the real plane they based their model on doesn't have or does have. I sure can live with that. But for instance not being able to enable the cursor on the GNS is utter crap that should have been fixed within days. Instead it isn't fixed at all. (Thanks again to Bliksimpie who DID fix it!)But I will make a promise: I will leave it at this. I guess I moaned more than enough (probably too much) about this. Let me end by saying the Bonanza is a great plane, my favorite GA, and I love it, and I am grateful Carenado made it, it looks awesome and (by now) flies great, but I hate it that they didn't finished it off properly. Again, getting hurt by the ones you love the most, is the hardest, and that's why I moaned this much but out of love I will leave it at this. ;)Good luck to everyone!
