i'm right there with Bob. Telluride (KTEX) is my fav approach in FS. has been for years. you should see how it looks in REAL life!!!chris

How about 26L at PHNL. You'll need to tweek the weather, since the normal prevailing is the opposite direction, but, the localizer is offset from the runway, having you fly in along Wakiki beach and past downtown (Lots of high buildings), with a left 45 turn at the last minute. See attached charts from Clearance Unlimited.

..ooops - that should have been a ZIP file - ignore the attachment. go here http://www.clearanceunlimited.com/SID-STAR.../iap-hawaii.htmand download the Honolulu zip. Look at 26L LDA as well as the Airport map.Have fun.Keith

Try Castlegar, British Columbia. Air Canada Jazz goes in there with a Dash-8-300, but try it with their 737-200 Zip airplane or a Westjet 737-200 or 737-700. Since they put a localizer in it isn't as bad but to get around the mountian and lined up for the runway in anything bigger than a dash-8 is challenging.

We were certifying our Dash 8-Q400 (Flightsafety Int) in Seattle for steep approaches using London City as our airport. It was awesome, 5.5 degree glidslope in a level D sim. I must have shot that approach 40 or 50 times one afternoon with a phone in one hand and my other on the yoke...lol I was giving engineers feedback on what the EGPWS was doing during the steep approaches. That was almost as much fun as when we were testing the stall warning system. We weren't getting the expected results so the boss had me pull it into a 90 degree climb and let it fall out of the sky....lol quite a ride with the motion system on.
