Thank you for your nice words :)This feature has been improved, it is now much more accurate and you can keep moving even when the mouse has reached the screen boundaries.EricI hope it is temporary... My Paypal account is not closed. I have just tested it and it works fine. Please try again and let me know if you still have trouble. Thanks,Eric

That's it exactly, Eric. That's it exactly.Thank you for your time and effort, however it may turn out.
Chuck,I made a quick pre-study to see if I can do what you were asking about the panel window positioning. It appears that it is not that easy, I'm really not sure I will be able to do it. I'll keep you posted if I can get an interesting result.Eric

Anything you can do would be appreciated! You know what I would REALLY like as well? I mean REALLY REALLY like?? As in: I don't get why this hasn't been accomplished yet??? Brake squeal effect, so I don't have to load up FSPassengers every flight just to get a realistic brake effect. This is a HUGE shortcoming to me in Flight Sim.Also, Is there any way you can make the 2D panels variably transparent, like in FSX? (This one is not nearly as important to me as #1, but I had just thought of it yesterday as something I had asked for here at AVSIM when I first switched from FSX to FS9.)In any event, thanks for the steerable pushback, Eric! That's another one I couldn't figure out why no one had conquered. . . I should have thought to look at the toolbox. 'Doh!'

Chuck,For the transparent panels, don't even think about it, as far as I know it is impossible.Regarding the brake squeal effect, I first need to understand what it is. Don't forget that English is not my native language :)Eric

That would absolutely ROCK! Im still an hardcore FS9 user and any additional tools would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello,If you don't know fs9 Toolbox, it is a small add-on that adds some features to fs9 (more information here).I am planning to continue the development of this product, but I will do it only if some people are interested in some new features. So today the question is: Would you be interested in a load/save feature that lets you save and load the current settings? This feature exists in FSX, the goal is to do the same in fs9, letting you define some settings (display settings, sound settings, realism settings, ...), save them as a named configuration to let you load them later.Any feedback is greatly welcome. Thanks,Eric

Eric, I don't have your toolbox yet. Should I wait for the new version or will I be entitled to an update if I buy now?Quant au "squeal", c'est le crissement des freins/pneus.Phil

Eric, I didn't know that! You write English better than most Americans I know!!As far as the panels are concerned that's OK, thank you for looking -- it was just something I realized I had asked about. Did the post in french further down the thread clarify what I meant by 'brake squeal' or do you need me to clarify further?

@Chuck: Regarding the panel windows, I'm not saying it si impossible, but it is more complex than I thought. Maybe I will be able to do it later, but it is not something you should expect in the short term. And yes, the French translation helped me in understanding what the 'brake squeal' means. I can do it, but I need to have the sound sample that would be played when the prakes are applied. If you have such sound, let me know. The sound from FS Passengers can obviously NOT be taken because it is certainly copyrighted.@Jetlag: Thanks for the translation, it helped me :( You can purchase fs9 Toolbox now if you wish, the next version will obviously be available to you with no additional cost.Eric

Eric: Check your IM.

Eric,Count me in also.

Here are the other enhancements, some are in progress:
  • Set current time (developed)Lets you set the current system time in fs9
  • Sound Settings (developed)Get access to the sound settings to adjust the engine, ATC, environment sounds without needing to open the fs9 pulldown menus. I hate seeing FS pausing when I open the menus to get access to a function, especially when I fly in network. This is why I developed this.
  • Real-Time Settings (in progress)This lets you change some display/realism settings without opening the fs9 pull-down menus.
  • Settings Load/SaveThe feature I was telling you about, not developed yet.

Alraiti, you have found yourself a new customer! I do all my flights on VATSIM and I thoroughly dislike having to open up the FS9 menu to reach some settings. Every now and then touching the menu will cause FS9 to freeze, either permanently or temporarily, so your utility might help me out greatly!

Also,It would be nice if this DataBase Builder window was a normal "undocked" window that could be re-sized.With 1024x768 .. my normal computer viewing screen and FS9 setup screen resolution I cannot fit it all on my screen. Resizeit.jpg

I am working on it, with another user who has the same problem with the categorie names. What OS are you running?I still run XP 32 bits and everything works fine for me. Being unable to reproduce the problem makes it hard to me to find a solution...Eric
