Freeware Release - Canberra Bomber

Featured Replies

Thank you for the very interesting infomation!anyone knows how to start the bomb shown in this picture?
Yes, if you download the Pilot's Notes from the main web page, instructions are provided in the VC section at the end on all VC operations. But, in a nutshell, you must arm the master arming switch for bomb bay stores, then toggle the station 2 load release (I think it was station 2!) and away she goes.

Forgot to mention, not sure if this was already picked up on, but the B.1 pack is also out, and the next pack to follow next week hopefully.http://www.flyingstations.com/canberra-pack-b1.html

Thanks Steve, and great job to you & the crew for this terrific addon. I know from other sims that the Canberra is tough to draw, given all the subtle curves in its airframe and engines, and you've really nailed it. Can't wait to see the B-57!:(

Thank you OPA. Great as always! A word of caution though, . . ,if you continue with this trend people are going to think you are a FS addict or fanatic. :( Thanks again.Best regards,Mel

Well I got it!Under the throttle contoles are some buttons!First click on the last to open the door for the bombs!Than arm them, and shot! You can see it in this video from me:

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but what is the big white doughnut in the windscreen for? :( :(

I'm pretty sure it was a DV panel which also featured some means to offer confirmation of cabin depressurisation when opening the hatch after a flight.Al

Really, really nice video, probably the best I have seen yet. Your camera angles are superb. What a fantastic promo - many thanks for posting it here. And yes, the 'doughnut' is indeed a DV panel.

I believe it is covered in an earlier reply in this thread - specifically this post:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/313612-freeware-release-canberra-bomber/page__view__findpost__p__1872805

Tested it in FSX last night, ran flawlessly, getting over 20fps over PHNL, although the plane does have several transparency and other issues within the sim. But AFAIK this is an FS9 model, so I wouldn't be too surprised to see a native FSX version being available very soon. Makes me think of the wonders of FS9 and the reason of really downgrading into it, just because of this stupid, extremely lagging, and pathetic Pentium 4 PC that I have, albeit the use of a NVIDIA GeForce 9000 with it, which only gives 5-10 FPS within my favourite airports such as WIII. Even the Canberra lags over RAF Bentwaters last night. :PDave.
