November 1, 201015 yr Author Here is my problem, I have no idea how to fix this. It is an activation issue.
November 1, 201015 yr Ok tried a reinstall with flexnet enabled still no problem. I have to got to say that this is bull___t, I have spent the last two days trying to get this thing to run. No answer from PMDG. Nothing. I have redownloaded a new installer 5 times, reinstalled FSX 4 times now on a clean partition. What a waste of a weekend and thanks for your help PMDG. I'm out and will call my credit card company for a dispute..................BTW, thank you to those who did try to help. Greatly appreciated!!There's no need for this kind of attitude towards anybody, we've got weekend and some extra holiday, so I'm not surprised that nobody answers tickets.Apparently the problem lies on You side, something prevents licensing service from running. PMDG actually may have some solution for this, but personally instead of waiting I would reinstall my OS and check if this happens again then. Please remember, that as far as I know, licencing service is working properly for everyone else. And it will not harm, If You'll check registry repair tool from this site.
November 1, 201015 yr Author I agree, there was no need for my rant, after several hours of troubleshooting I got a little worked up. My av is disabled and I don't think I ever stopped any process that would inhibit licensing. I wouldn't even know which process to look for.
November 1, 201015 yr Weekend is ending so You should wait for contact from PMDG, and don't worry most of us didn't get this bird to sky "out of the box", it took me two days to learn proper start up procedure...
November 2, 201015 yr Here is a good vid Don't forget the stop latches, feathering and to set your condition levers to flight and you should be okWow...that is a horrible video. There is nothing shown about condition levers, power levers, un-feathering. I found the best way to start the J41 through trial and error. This plane is very touchy when it comes to starting it. For some reason I found that you can not start the engines with the anti-skid on, it has to be off.Start-Procedures: Both Power levers back, both condition levers back with the block buttons pushed in (the ones just below the condition levers), unfeather both engines, engine start selector, engine start button --- once you hear the engine spooling up a few seconds push forward the condition lever until the "light" appears around the antiskid switch. Wait a bit...then power lever to a neutral/idle forward.....reapeat for other engine....then pull the power levers slight back which releases the stop blocks....then the plane is ready for taxi.No other description helped me and no other video.......I found out this way through trial and error.
November 2, 201015 yr Author Ok, after several days of trial and error I found the problem to be related msxml files being corrupted. For anyones future reference if you are having issues activating your product in FSX try downloading and installing this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=341CAF5F-0CDD-47A8-AF5D-91E14FCF7A0D&displaylang=enJeff Linville
