it was sarcasm, dude!
A fact is sure, Flight ( also on the dedicated Live forum you can read that ) will have no ATC at all, you will simply have to shout into through your mic voice recognizer your Facebook nickname and you will instantly fly a network session with your Facebook friends, if they are on line of course.Same speech for landing and taking off procedures, you have to pronounce your Twitter nickname and et voila you are in the sky.No modern civilian planes will be implemented, just a bunch of funny cartoonish planes equipped with machine guns. You can choose your pilot icon among few payware ones, Bugs Bunny is already my favourite. The biplane shown within videos is the top simulation experience ever seen in the last 30 years, your gamepad will be able to fly it over the blue waters spotting here and there funny spraying whales. Amaaaziiiing ! WOW !!! Holy Cow !!I can't wait guys, I am just drooling at the idea and I am so excited that I want to share with you mates all of my love for the world in these days...... and further more have to come.......I can't really resist.....-

I've been using FS since it first came about way back when, but as far as using FSX, only about a few months. With that said, I am looking at the program with an unbiased opinion and if there are to be improvements made with the next incarnation, one thing that really makes the experience more "real" is the usage of real world Liveries complete with ATC chatter based on the real world liveries. I recently purchased Traffic X for FSX and I have to say, for an FS enthusiast and future virtual pilot, this makes all the difference for having an enjoyable sim. Just my two cents without negativity. :)Jim

Well...Is it really necessary that anyone say anything at all, positive OR negative, since no one here knows anything except what we see in the trailers? Some will like it and some will not but what is this weird misconception that saying something that is critical is such a horrible thing? So by your standard only positive comments are necessary and helpful? It is quite acceptable for opinions to differ and as long as they are stated within the confines of civility defined by the Avsim Moderator staff they are acceptable AND welcome. Avsim has plenty of moderators do we really need armchair moderators telling us what is and isn't acceptable by their own definition? No.You don't have to agree with and you don't have to like what is said in a post but you DO have to respect everyone's opinion even if they differ from yours. As far as I know the Flight forum doesn't have any rules that say "Positive posts only, all other's will be deleted."

I agree.Told that we have 3 videos and those videos have been released just to have a clue on the product. Of course I respect the opinion of who likes them, a forum is a place to exhange opinions and it would be boring and useless a forum without opinions that differ from each other.Told that, IMHO , those videos represents a game tailored for kids in their first days of life , let's say it is rated for kids between 5 and 8 years. Cartoonish colored and ancient bitmaps fill the sky, absolutely no sign of simulation but plenty of arcadish instead. The graphic is 6/7 years old and I encourage those who are filling wish lists to get a grip with the reality.

Pleasure to meet you . I have NEVER met anyone without any bias before.  :(

I haven't either, I have only ever met people who claim to be unbiased which is what most people figure they are.Regards, Mike Mann (The guy with unbiased views)

Perhaps the issue is not whether differing opinions are welcome (they should be, and I believe this is understood by all) but rather the degree of civility with which these opinions are expressed and whether product-, company- and or person-bashing is involved (no bashing should be allowed).

Well, I happen to like the MS Flight videos, for they are beautifully done with their great camera angles and music and so appeal to my passion for flight, so for these reasons I give the videos my thumbs-up. But I also agree with you the videos do not offer any information at all about what Flight will do and will not do. Perhaps if Microsoft published parallel webisodes offering this technical information we might be fully satisfied? Can we even assume the developer team have frozen the design specs at this point for them to go public?Cheers,- jahman.

I'm not at all certain that you watched the same clips as the rest of us......unless you're implying that FSX is as you've described above. :(
