Things Are Close

Featured Replies

This is driving me nuts.... :( I just know that NGX things are close. What with all the server mods going on etc. There's two new payware releases that I REALLY want, but I just know if I drop the plastic on 'em, the NGX will then appear. I just know it :( Oh such problems.... Woe is me :(

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Phil,You have some time, we haven't started beta testing yet.
It better not be close... I have a JS41 and MD11 to learn before then :Tounge:Molly Norris

Phil,Can I ask which 2 new releases you are after? I've spent over 200 pounds in the last month stocking up the hanger looking for something great to fly over the winter, with nothing really quite hitting the spot. I'm always interested in new ideas.CheersJon

It might say 'coming 2010' on the PMDG NGX product page, but they won't rush it and drop the ball for no reason other than to stick to an arbitrary deadline. Besides, if they've got real 737 line pilots testing it, then they can't expect them to just drop their job of flying the real thing to test out a pretend version.I don't have the Warbirdsim P51D, but I do have their P-51B and C on which it is undoubtedly based, which is a bit pricey but certainly very nice and probably the best P-51 you can get for FSX, at least until A2A get their Accusim one out. JF DC-3 is very nice, good value too considering all the variants you get, and unlike the P-51, you can never have too many DC-3s for FS.Al

I'm just going to clarify so there's no wild theories:Internal to External testing means that we're going from just members of PMDG seeing the test builds to our technical advisory team made up of real NG pilots, engineers, designers etc seeing it now. This is also what I would call "late Alpha." The plane works, it's flyable etc, we're just making sure everything's modeled correctly now before we go beta with it.
Closer....almost Beta; maybe the end of Jan for release... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/319779-they-are-getting-there/
