December 2, 201015 yr Hi guysThere's been some discussion among people in this forum regarding the 737-900 variant. Can you say if you are modelling the standard 900 or 900ER. We hope it's the 900ER :)cheers guys Dylan Leonard
December 2, 201015 yr Commercial Member We haven't yet announced exactly what the product will entail - that will come in due time. We're aware of the requests for all the variants. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 3, 201015 yr Not weird at all, everyone has there preferencesIndeed, as I'm only interested in the longer variants. I just like the lines :( Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
December 3, 201015 yr Author I like the 700 800 and 900ER, the 600 is ok but a little to small for me Dylan Leonard
December 3, 201015 yr I like em all, although if you park a 900ER next to an original one, a classic, or even a small NG, the difference is quite shocking. So you can see why Boeing thought they'd better make the landing gear a bit longer LOL...IFly didn't put the 900ER variant in their package and I'm still happy enough with that, but whether it's the 900 or the 900ER, or even both that PMDG put in there, I'm sure it will be fun to fly.I'm looking forward to PMDG's NG immensely. I just know it's going to be an absolute stormer and certainly the benchmark for a complex FS aircraft for a long time to come.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
December 3, 201015 yr I am sure none of us will be disappointed. I would think the 900ER would be a definite as it is the current production model. It would be the legacy NG versions that are iffy. I am sure there is something for everyone. It looks like they have gone out of their way to include swappable avionics boxes, various airframe options (ie brake compound), etc.. They set the bar really high on this. Cannot wait to see what it is the publications (as I am sure all the info on the product you could ever want is contained in those 3000+ pages).. So we will have to wait till sometime next week plus however many days it takes for them to get shipped to our door steps. Then I suppose the only question left will be "when." December 3, 201015 yr I may be weird but I am after just one single variant - 737-600. :(No not weired. I know myself would love to see the 900ER included, but the model I really want is the 800, and that is the one I will probably fly most of the time. December 3, 201015 yr the 600 is ok but a little to small for mePerfect for my family and friends ... :( I also want to fly short trips, land at really small airports where camping is good :( so I need something with very good short field performance. Oh.. you want to know another shocker - I won't be using A/T at all - I just don't want to get used to automation that I don't have in my RW flying. Michael J.
December 3, 201015 yr Commercial Member I see your point, to a certain degree, but I'd also argue an aircraft should be flown the way it is intended to be flown (though I'm sure Mr.Hoover would disagree with me). To me, the wonder of modern aircraft is their automation and to ignore the technology somewhat defeats the purpose. Will you be using LNAV/VNAV coupling? I'm guessing your aircraft doesn't have those....I'm not trying to be a jerk because my arguments and views on life are not perfect, either. To be honest, I hate G1000 loadouts in training aircraft and avoid them on the principle that I think it's overkill in a trainer, and I prefer that my gauges do not have a single point of failure. On the other hand, that argument somewhat violates my above opinion on ignoring technology, if you think about it. I'm just playing devil's advocate here, mainly because of all of the bad habits you'll pick up with Flight Sim, the worst one is probably that you'll ignore the outside picture and fixate on the gauges, because that's all we have to go by in the sim. It's your computer and your simulated world, so it's all up to you in the end, of course. As far as the types go, I find the 900 to be too long for my tastes. The 800 is still a bit stretched. The 73G and the 736 are normally what I like as far as looks, but I'm a FlightAware follower, so I'll fly whatever 73' they just flew (or have scheduled) for the route pairing I searched.
