In seeing another post around talking about excluding certain Canadian airports enhanced via UTX-Canada, from interfering with ORBX NWR elevation, I realized that I had not checked out for updates for some time, to all my UTX programs; USA, Canada, Europe, etc.Well...I was running UTX-USA v 1.2a or something to that effect. The current on the update page was v1.4I downloaded, patched, and fired up FSX to see the change around Myrtle Beach S.C, if any.ANY? ANY?....version 1.4 made a total remake of Myrtle Beach Int., adding out buildings, aircraft, trucks, you name it. It was an amazing transformation of what I had before. The countryside is also night and day. More graphics, and MUCH BETTER, detaled graphics to boot! This was almost like not ever even having UTX-USA on the system. The change is quite amazing. It will most likely cause me to pull my head out of the PNW area of ORBX and see what else v1.4 has added... :) This is good stuff! If you are not running v1.4.....go to download and apply it. You will be thrilled with the transformation of FSX in the USA outside of any ORBX scenery pack. David, I just added the link via edit to my O.P.Enjoy...you'll be amazed at the difference. you might even do as I am doing and take a small break from ORBX to stay in touch with the rest of the U.S.A , Europe and Canada, LOL!Cheers,Mitch'er

Brian...truly, download and patch to v1.4 The whole of the USA outside of ORBX will be HIGHLY upgraded, airport property as well as great textures, city, rural, farmland, etc... all greatly enhanced over previous versions of UTX.One thing though, if you have ORBX NWR, you need to turn off the enhanced Canadian airports that the new UTX-Canada v1.2 gives you, so the UTX-CANADIAN elevation does not conflict with ORBX's for those airports. You do this within the UTX-CANADA v1.2 set up program. That is of course if you also have UTX Canada and upgrade that as well. If only UTX-USA and UTX-EUROPE, then that does not concern you, or anybody else. Here is a link to the topic.....but you need to log in, to read it. Do we have to run the GEX ugrades for UTX (within GEX menu) after having installed UTX patches? I ask because the UTX patches are probably newer than the latest GEX updates.ThanksHarry

Harry, I didn't. I merely upgraded to v1.4 and then defragged the system. I found all the visual upgrades without having run GEX-UTX USA and Canada again. I don't know if I should, but haven't to date. I actually don't want to, lol, in that it might screw up the new eye candy...! I wouldn't want that, lol! BTW, if you have ORBX PNW etc, always keep FTX Central on North America no matter where you fly in the U.S. and Canada. You will then get the great ORBX trees outside their normal ORBX influence. They look really good down in my other haunt, South Carolina.Mitch

Mitch,Thanks for the reminder. I tried downloading the patch when it was first released, but it was downloading way to slow. I canceled and forgot all about it.I hope that KFRG was fixed. Cars drive inside the airport.

Here's what my Myrtle Beach airport looks like, pretty default IMO... With GEX USA also.Dunno what it looked like before, but doesn't seem to be a big facelift IMO.
