Terrorism and Aviation Security starting here

Featured Replies

Dear Avsim and to all interested in aviation security,I noticed today a post on someone learning to fly. That is all well and good, but usually when one learns to fly they front up to a flying school. I know I sound 'biased', but don't you have to be somewhat biased in order to maintain security on aircraft?Avsim is an awesome place to go to for the flight simmer (and I fly myself in real world), but I think if we can't see that it could be open for abuse then we are allowing another 9/11. What do you think of profiling? El-Al and Israel do this the best and it is proven. El-Al have successfully prevented bombs and hijackings due to their extremely tough approach to security. While we may not think of it everyday, what can we do to help stop future security incidents involving aviation. If we could prevent an incident it would be very noble of us.Maybe it is hard to implement security on a forum. Maybe it would be cheaper and less complicated to ask the FBI to spy here as it could be more effective than letting us unequiped smurfs from doing anything? I think, like in Israel, it takes everyone to be vigilant to prevent the risk of terror attack.I hope I don't get attacked for being pro Israel (for which I am) but I hope I can improve the world by adding my input.Daniel

Wow, are you for real?????
No he isn't.

Guess to OP does not realize that "Lessons" are included in Flight Simulator - therefore a "terrorist" need not ask "how to fly" on forums.

So why did the Sep 11th Hijackers pay for flying lessons in the Continental United States?

The only thing we should implement in our forum is a better way to select our members.
