Tom et alHerewith an extract from an earlier article of mine on a Virtual Airline Forum to which I belong:I recently came across two programmes on the Discovery Channel which you might like to know about. They have both been shown recently but knowing the repeat pattern of the Discovery Channel they may well appear again. The first is called 'The World's Ten Most Extreme Airports' and features exactly that. They include the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong and the famous and very challenging Lukla airport high in the Himalayan mountains. The runway there is built on a steep slope and has no 'Go Around', merely a rock face so you have to get that one right! There are eight others which you might like to try. They are Santiago, Madeira, Eagle Vale, Courcheval, Gibralter, St Martin, St Bart and Tegucigalpa in the Honduras. Strangely enough Dutch Harbour in Alaska didn't feature. You can purchase very good scenery for Lukla from UK2000.Enjoy the approaches and happy landings!Rgds - Roger

Do a search here, there is a thread a while back with all the codes

As far as I know Lukla is sold thru Aerosoft not UK2000. UK2000 only sells scenery they produce which is for the UK.

You are correcct - my mistake - I had just been looking at both suppliers and got them confused when I wroye the reply.

Try Cuzco at 3,310 meters in an AUW condition. I can unstick in a fully laden SuperVC10 at under 8,000ft!!! Don't over rotate otherwise you will stall!!! climb out is at a very shallow angle until your speed has built up.vololiberista
