December 24, 201015 yr ....she seems rather thirsty!I'll take that back - she looked rather thirsty on climb but into the cruise she behaved herself better. :) Scott
December 24, 201015 yr *Sweet! Just scored the whole C-130 Super Pack for $13Cdn. C-130 full pack for me too. Now the small field cargo ops on NRM can come. :biggrin:I must revise my statement on the discount thingy. My actual shop view showed my "80 Euros off!" on the whole package. Common, Captain Sim. don't play that thing. The extension packs are always priced at 9.99. No need to blow them up to 39.99 at such sales actions. :( Is the price for 757 cargo extension still at 9.99€ and will it stay at this price? (question to captain sim member)Yes, it's a regular price for our model expansionsThe sales action's price still is a good one, but those "80 off!" are a bit overstressed in my eyes. So, as some other guys said, leave that marketing 101 out and just show the real discount there. The day before, the complete pack was at 39.95 or so, so we are still talking about 75% off. A good deal. Fellow customers will surely appreciate it.But thanks for the sales and some nice days to you all.

No need to blow them up to 39.99 at such sales actions. :(There are no tricks. All strikethrough prices are actual prices at release day. So those massive discounts are true. Fresh example, the 707 Captain in August 2010 was 59.95, now it's 39.99 = 20OFF. During the 24hr sale is was 36OFF.
December 24, 201015 yr Don't get me wrong, Alex, I really applaud to the sales actions of Captain Sim, but the days before the actual action, every expansion (have I written "extension" somewhere by the way?) for e. g. the C-130 was priced at 9.99 Euros, normal price. Now, on the sales action, this normal price was shown as this (much higher fictional prices)which leads to this huge discount of 80 Euros or so when choosing the All-in-one-Pack (which I did). This discount is a fictional one because outside of the sales action the price (for the All-in-one-Pack) was and will be 39.99 Euros, leading to "just" 30 Euros off. See this screenshot from outside of the sales action.See? Normal price is 39.99 Euros, discount therefor is 30 Euros not 80.This still is a great offer (again, don't get me wrong on this) but my point is to suggest to stay real on discount values and not to use some artificial values to show a bigger and only fictional one.I think that a honest way of selling good stuff doesn't need this marketing whatever technique. 30 Euros off is great, that's 75% real discount and the plane is really nice. The C-130 isn't the only example here. In fact, only the 767 shows (or showed) the right normal price values before and in the sales action event. The actual discount came on the base packs and the B-52 and 707 (which are currently base packs too). You are right with the 707 example of yours but I was referring to the C-130 package as I've looked up the prices before. Thanks for that bird by the way.
December 24, 201015 yr I love the captainsim sale. I wait all year for it and always purchase something. This year I bought the c-130 which I have been eyeing for a long time. Maybe this weekend I will get some time to fly it, when the kids are all snug in their beds. ;) Mike Keigley
