January 25, 201115 yr Commercial Member I don't understand that, People using Flightsim in the way that they buy a add-on plane and FS2Crew are on such a level that they want to go "as real as it gets" so they have to be familiar with the english language and ATC is normally in English. The European real life pilots (GA and ATPL) flying under JAR FCL have to do a English Language Skilltest these days, even if you are flying already for a very long time. I did mine last saturday after having my PPL-A and RT for more then 20 years.I'm using the voice version with Level-D 767 and also have the iFly 737 but don't want to use a button version so I'm voting for a voice version iFly/Fs2Crew.But a lot (probably the majority) of simmers in Europe are not real-world pilots who need to have a certain level of English proficiency.Granted, a lot of Europeans speak great English (probably even better than me :( ), but a lot can't, and I have to account for them.Other big issue is that if using Win 7/Vista, you need to be able to set your Windows Speech Recognizer to English - US; this is problematic for a lot of Europeans with localized versions of Windows 7/Vista.For XP it's not a factor though.Cheers, B. January 25, 201115 yr Jee.... and I was hoping the Win 7 may steamline the voice recognition stuff somewhat !!!
January 25, 201115 yr Commercial Member Jee.... and I was hoping the Win 7 may steamline the voice recognition stuff somewhat !!!If you have Win 7 'Ultimate', you can download the English language pack from Microsoft. If you don't have 'Ultimate', you'll need to use Vistalizator to set your OS to English. This is for Voice Control.Button control does not have this limit at all.Cheers, B. January 25, 201115 yr Just my opinionUnfortunately I never bought products from fs2crews before...I am a simmer from italy, and even if I'm pretty able to speak and understand basic english, I sincerely prefer the button control version...I think I will buy it next few hours and I would like to use a button control fs2crew for the maddog too!

January 26, 201115 yr It's kind of sad though that since iFly offers a great SDK a voice version would be outstanding similar to your level-d offering.
February 26, 201115 yr HI ,when I go to the fs2crew site I can only find the button version for the ifly,is the voice version available or am I just under caffeinated and missing it on the site?thanks,Grant
February 26, 201115 yr No voice version for the iFly. As of right now Bryan has no intention of doing one. The button version is still great though.
