January 31, 201115 yr Hi,Whats included in the ngx. Is it the 737-600 -700 -800 -900 included or are they sold separately? For fs2004 they had one with the -600 -700 and another one with the -800 -900. So what types of models will be included in one set. Also is it going to be sold as a disk or just a download. I prefer the disk better than downloadsJoe Barton Joe Barton
January 31, 201115 yr Hi Joe,RSR mentioned here We'll publish more information on this shortly. We are just mapping out the final details of pricing, parts, etc... We've had to alter our original release plan in order to be able to amp up the details and also keep the entire kit reasonably affordable. I think most folks will be pretty happy with pricing, etc when we roll that out to you.on this subject.Hope this helps,Chris.
March 30, 201115 yr Here's what I've been saying based of informations PMDG gave us that I have so far: There is no annoucement from PMDG confirming any of the variants. I'm 99.999(...)% sure that the -600, -700, -800, -900 variants will be included. The only doubts that we have here are regarding the -700ER, -700C and -900ER.The BBJ has a *possibility* of getting it's own model and having the 3 (maybe 4) variants (BBJ1 (737-700), BBJ2 (737-800), BBJ3 (737-900ER) and, if we get the 737-700C, the BBJ version of this variant) released as an expansion pack. *Always keeping in mind that it is a possibility*.PMDG has already confirmed that military variants will not be included. We don't know if PMDG will release the -600 and -700 first and then the -800 and -900, like they did with the 737NG for FS9; we don't know "if" all these variants will be included and how much the package will cost. PMDG is (or was) internally discussing this and others commercial issues. *The informations about the BBJ have not been updated by PMDG since the begining of February.*Regarding the purchase, PMDG will initially offer download only. I'm not sure if PMDG has confirmed anything about boxed version, but if they decide to sell CDs, it will happen much after the release. But you can buy the download version, which is cheaper and you don't have to wait for the delivery, and then burn it into a CD. As far as I know, it does not break their copyright, as long as you don't distribute the CD(s). Ryan himself encourages us to do that. Matheus Mafra
March 30, 201115 yr Author Thanks, but don't aerosoft make the boxed version for pmdg? pmdg don't make boxed versions, aerosoft do. The good thing about boxed versions is they have a manual included. Also have they decided on a price yet? Joe Barton

As for price, they've said it will be in line with their other products.
March 30, 201115 yr Also have they decided on a price yet?The price in among those commercial issues I was talking about. PMDG said that this will only be announced just before release. Matheus Mafra

March 30, 201115 yr In the "Externalities and the NGX" thread a small discussion happened about boxed NGX. Here are some relevant informations: There will be a boxed NGX - when though, I don't know. If you want it when it comes out, the best thing to do is just buy the download version and burn it to a CD - exact same thing pretty much as the boxed version Boxed versions are usually done by Aerosoft. The NGX will most likely be no exception but in that case, they will decide the price, not PMDG. The disk versions are done by Aerosoft. They are the only ones who know for sure when it will be available and it will definitely be after PMDG makes their release. I can do the 'dirty job' of getting in contact with Aerosoft to get informations about the boxed NGX. As soon as I get an answer, I'll post it here. Matheus Mafra
March 31, 201115 yr Commercial Member The boxed version likely will not happen until we're reasonably sure we have the permanent final code for the product including any service packs, feature additions etc that will come after release. We don't like to have boxed versions that require the purchaser to immediately go out and download patches. We don't do our download releases that way either, if you buy the product, that installer is always fully up to date at the time you download it. March 31, 201115 yr Commercial Member Gents-Aerosoft won't have any information for you because they get their information from us.And we aren't thinking that far ahead just yet because we are focused on the download version for now.Traditionally our process has been to hold off on doing retail box CDs for 6-8 months as this gives us the time we need to work up any and all fixes that we might discover are needed or wanted...Once we hit about 3+ months post release, we'll start the planning process with Aerosoft... Until then, any release date information you find regarding CDs is purely conjecture. Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

April 4, 201115 yr Well, a few days ago I said that as soon as I get an answer from Aerosoft, I'd post it here. And today I recieved an answer. The release is as it stands now scheduled for approx. two months after the PMDG online release. Please keep in mind that this is just an estimate and the schedule could be pushed forward or backward.Best RegardsWilliam LennoxProduct Manager Matheus Mafra
