February 27, 201115 yr Seems the saitek 'Proflight' range (that's a :Just Kidding:laugh ) aren't any use for quality addon aircraft.Has anyone by any chance found a way of controlling PMDG aircraft with these panels?I'm mostly interested in the gear and flap command levers but obviously would like more. The gear lever will actually control all but the middle gear on the MD-11, but the inside lever doesn't move though. Please don't bother sending me to the saitek forums. They simply ignore any and all questions they can't answer :( Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
February 27, 201115 yr Well the Saitek Yoke and throttle works well with PMDG :) Philip D. Schmidt Jensen - Denmark

The NGX will have the ability to allow access to the functions, but it will be up to Saitek to create a driver for it using our SDK - something tells me they will not do that however. February 28, 201115 yr There's nothing we can do about this - Saitek programs them to only use default FS functions and our planes are almost totally custom.Bought Saitek two days ago. No panels, just yoke, throttles, and pedals. I programmed TQ buttons as follows:Left button: up = TOGA; down = AP offMiddle button: up/down = flaps up / flaps downRight button: down = gear up/downHopped into MD11 and tested it: everything worked perfectly, even reversers. Seems problems come with additional panels. So, I hope you won't change those basic functions in the future products (ngx)?Daniel S.
February 28, 201115 yr Hello.I'm using a X52Pro since quite sometime and have not any kind of trouble with it, I just define the shortcuts I wanted in the PMDG Keyboard part, like for TOGA, AP/AT Disconnect, which are the three main buttons I wanted on my joystick, and then just launched the SST Programming tool and made a profile for PMDG, with those shortcuts I defined set to the buttons I wanted (D/E and T5) and just activate the profile when I fly with a PMDG aircraft and use it with not other thing than that it sjut works perfectly fine.Cheers.Aurelien Aurelien Vandoorine
February 28, 201115 yr SPAD and FSUIPC will allow you to treat Saitek Panels as a recognized joystick you can assign keystrokes or offsets.
February 28, 201115 yr Author I'm ONLY referring to the PANELS, not the flight controls - they work fine.I have FSUIPC also, but due to some err... 'politics' going on there with saitek, getting support from either on this subject is almost impossible :( SPAD does not appear to be of any help with issue (unless someone has found otherwise?)Saitek must be by FAR, the worst hardware company I've ever dealt with. The forum is nothing short of a joke. February 28, 201115 yr Author SPAD and FSUIPC will allow you to treat Saitek Panels as a recognized joystick you can assign keystrokes or offsets.I've seen simple statements like this before. However, it is perhaps a little unhelpful to make such comments without clarification?Yes, Pete's 'Advanced User Manual' "MAY" contain some information on this, but it is writen for "Advanced" users :( Of which, I am most certainly not one.Being as they are available for almost all other FSUIPC uses, I think if it were possible, there would be a YouTube tutorial. February 28, 201115 yr Phil, Have you even tried assigning a command via SPAD/FSUIPC? I recommend you play with the flap lever and try to get it working. I responded to your hardware post on this subject with a quick down/dirty. It's so simple that if you are capable of understanding a PMDG product you can set your panels up. It's all GUI driven, just pick the visual depiction of your control and select what you want it to do. For PMDG since the offsets are a company secret, just assign key-combos. WIll it work 100 percent..nope. Most flight sim hardware requires a fair degree of tweaking to fit payware addons.
February 28, 201115 yr Author Phil, Have you even tried assigning a command via SPAD/FSUIPC? Yup! February 28, 201115 yr Phil, give me a function to try an add to one of the panels. See if I can help.

March 11, 201115 yr Author Hi VincentDon't know if you're still following this thread?Sorry for delay, but I had to do another Windows/Software & FSX installation in order to get my PMDG JS41 working... Grrrr!====================Anything you can come up with would be great! I have the yoke, pedals and throttles which all work fine.I also have the Multi-Panel with flaps & gear lever, and the Switch Panel.I understand it's possible to opperate some things on the MD-11 & 744 via the SPAD driver, but I just can't seem to manage it :( I'm not expecting any of the light and engine start switches to work, but if I could just get the flaps and landing gear levers opperating, it would be great.I'm no doubt missing something really obvious. That's often the case for me :blink:Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
