March 25, 201115 yr As I get more into FSX I get these basic problems that I long ago solved in FS2004 or even farther back. Since my long trusted favorite map program, FSNav does not work in FSX what is best to use? FSnav took very little resources & the default map leaves a bit to be desired. Any thoughts on this? March 25, 201115 yr Give Plan G a go - TA Software - freeware and, in my opinion, better than FSNav or Commander, thoroughly recommended.M. Very Best Wishes, Dr T. Maurice Murphy
March 25, 201115 yr Give Plan G a go - TA Software - freeware and, in my opinion, better than FSNav or Commander, thoroughly recommended.M.Yeah, Plan G is really good. The best is that you run it on a second pc or an laptop and connect it via simconnect. This is really cool. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 25, 201115 yr Plan G's map is just too slow to draw for my tastes. Otherwise a capable product for VFR flight planning. I can't say I haven't used it to traverse a canyon or two.If you have better internet than FARM INTERNET... you might not even have an issue. For IFR flight planning, I prefer FS Commander.
March 25, 201115 yr Moderator Plan-G hyands down. Great for VFR or IFR planning. Displays the IFR approaches and airport diagrams also. Easily configured for slower systems but if you want all the bells and whistles you need a faster system. It's free - give it a tryVic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

March 25, 201115 yr Plan-G is the best for the price and even better than a lot of payware. Ya, just go with it.
