Anyone else having "black" areas on the Dash8 panel?.Dan.

Yes Dan, I am having the dreaded black area problem as well. I just wish someone at PSS would address the issue and tell us what gives! I thought the patch was supposed to fix that. I already left a message in the PSS forum, but haven't seen a reply yet. They might construe it as being negative as usual and not post it up...they can get pretty touchy about certain things...LOL.Tom

Thats great if you somehow can get the originals installed in FS9! Without the option to put the fs2002 aircraft into FS9 the patches don't do a whole lot of good. I have tried copying the pss files from fs2002 to fs9 and then running the update and that didn't work. The aircraft show up in the directory of fs9 but when I run the program there is just a giant grey panel. Any suggestions?Scott

I hope the PSS Boys are planning on burning some midnight oil today...I am not having the Black Area problem any more but am having mouse flickers when on the clickspots, Unresponsive/delayed VOR selector switch, and a ALT that will not dial smoothly. One more issue as well......when I press the + key twice I get no engagement of the AUTO THROTTLE....Anyone else?????Hopefully the installers will be out today as well and fix these issuesMy Dash 8 works great

I installed the base file package and liveries directly into FS9 just as I would in FS2002. Then I applied the patch and everything looks fine except for the black areas as stated in my earlier post. So the patch has done nothing for me. I'm right where I was before!!Tom

Tom.......>>HOW!!!!!!!!

Thank you Flyman.... How are you guys installing the base files into FS9. There is no option to choose the path. It is pre-chosen for fs2002 and greyed out so that there is no chance to edit it. ThanksScott

No magic here...LOl, when you click on the install.exe it gives you a box pointing to FS2002. Just click on the small white browse box on the right and point to the FS9 directory. I am using XP Home, I dunno it just worked for me!?!? I'm still pee'd off tho with the black areas still popping up!Tom

Hi!I agree with you about this. I thought the black areas was the thing to fix for FS2004. the only thing the patch fixed was the panel config. I posted a message in the PSS forum as well, but its a no show. RegardsBj

LAST night I removed FS2004 and reinstalled FS2002, because I was ticked off that the patches had not been released, and the forums said "sometime this week".THIS morning I tossed all that time aside and removed FS2002 and RE-INSTALLED 2004 because the patches had been released. (reinstall in progress, actually)NOW! I read that there are continued problems?! If this comes to pass, I'll be livid. I'd have blown most of my weekend installing software. Here's to hoping it's a small error and easily correctable.Out of curiousity - check your FSUIPC version - I wonder if the old airplanes load in the wrong version.-Greg

Hi,Which small white browse box? I downloaded the current installer.I can't install it to FS2004 ?!?http://www.scandva.org/upload/PSSDH3.gif

Hi Tom,Just got a mail back from PSS about the black areas, I was told to reinstall the Dash 8 and apply the patch again, and it works fine now.Dan.
