Sorry Egbert, I don't know why no one belives that my installation works this way, but it does. I do not have a screen print utility other than FS screen so I cannot show you the setup on my computer. All I will say is I am using XP and I get a message on installation and I quote, " Flightsim was unable to locate your FS2002 folder" "Please select your installation folder and continue" IT LOOKS LIKE YOURS, except for the option to "BROWSE"LOCATION ----------------------------------BROWSE BOX That's it, I don't know how or why, maybe it's because I have XP and you have a differnt OS. This is my final post on this unique problem. I would suggest contacting PSS as to why the installation process is different for some and not for others.Regards,Tom

Hi Tom,I believe you ;)The mistery is solved: I still have FS2002 installed on my system and you not.PSS now suggests everyone to remove FS2002, but for me that's no option.I hope they come with a better solution/suggestion.

Again you are correct Flynman, I am facing the same problem. So don't feel that you are the only one. I gues I will just wait until this all sorts out. It doesn't sound like there has been much luck with the patch working completely correct anyway. BTW.. is everyone else having extremely slow loads from avsim. I am waiting minutes for pages to refresh on a DSL line. Scott

If you have FS2002 installed on your system, the installer will automatically find it and you can't change it. If you don't have FS2002 installed, you have the option to choose a folder.Hope this helps

Yes I agree Egbert...but you should be fine with the Dash 8 in FS2002, I wasRegards,Tom

*** EDIT - looks like PSS has a fix - see their forum before trying this! ***Here is what worked for me - try it at your own risk!Rename your FS2002 folder to something else - temporarily, of course. If you are still using the default START Menu / PSS files, relocate or change those also. Then run the Dash8 and A320 installers, which will recreate an FS2002 folder and dump all the PSS files into that empty new folder.Move everything EXCEPT the modules folder from the "new" FS2002 folder to FS9. Go to your start up menu and adjust all of the PSS programs you just installed to reflect the correct FS9 path (or you will be accessing the old FS2002 files once your done). If you still use the old FS2002 Start Menu Programs, rename the New ones to distinguish them from the orginal FS2002 menus (PSS FS9 or some-such).Delete the "new" FS2002 folder, which should have just a MODULES folder left in it. Rename your original FS2002 folder back to the correct name. If needed restore the original PSS Start Menu programs.Run the upgrade, you should be done! The only registry entries that I could find were for the uninstaller, so you should be able to ingnore those.Took longer to explain than to do.Joe LorencVice President, Carolina Operations, VN7 Networkhttp://www.vn7network.com/

Hey fellows, what would happen if you just renamed the FS2002 folder temporaily then do the install the name it back to FS2002. Don't have the Dash 8 so I can't try it.Just a thought.

Hi,They have released a small utility which does the job.I guess some registry settings are changed.Check this message:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=23911&page=

Anybody else having the problem with the A320 Panels, and the flickering mouse pointer and delayed updates of the ALT and HEDG Selectors?Jason

Yes! This is in all the 320 family, and once the engines are running, preparing for takeoff I can

Jason, this may or may not be what's happening with your mouse pointer (I've installed the 320 update for 2004 but haven't had a chance to fly it yet), but I recall having the flickering pointer with the A320 in 2002 -- the problem was that I had a fancy 3-D mouse pointer set for Windows. Changing that back to the default pointer solved the problem. Hope it helps.Greghttp://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg
