Been away a bit from FS, question on NGx?

Featured Replies

I'm super excited about this release, but I haven't been following near as much as other releases due to real world flying.I'm curious, is it going to contain all the models (the 600/700/700ER/800/800ER/900/900ER/BBJ1,2,3)? Aside from that, the features I have seen detailed look incredible.I haven't really seen anywhere that lists this, but I have seen multiple (not all) models via screenshots! I jumpseat a lot in 737NG's, so this release has got me excited, knowing that I'll have a good 1-5 hour plane to do my US X/C's in to compliment my long haul equipment!P.S @ PMDG Devs: Will this run with similar J4100 tech? I sure hope not, as I never got to fly that plane at all due to some weird issue that always made FSX crash :(.Thanks in advance.

They haven't officially announced what models yet.

What issue are you having?

Yea they have. The 800 is being released first. The 600,700, and 900 are in the works and let me say the 900 looks great.

They have said nothing of the sort.

It had to do with a gauge/dll file that I went back and forth on with Ryan for weeks, but we could never figure it out. I don't want to go into detail here. Furthermore, if I were to go into detail, I wouldn't even know what to say because I never understood it or figured it out.

Ahh, sorry to hear. Hopefully you don't get the same issue with the NGX.

One of the PMDG members very clearly said that the 800 was the model being released first. This may not be an official statement from PMDG the company, but it was most definitely said.

Link?

No idea mate, search it. Reasoning for the 800 was, and this is a loose quote: it was the model we had most available to study."I will gladly accept a link proving me wrong, because I personally prefer the 900.

-800 was modelled first is what they said. Then they modelled/are modeling the other aircraft based on that. That's what they said, it has nothing to do with what variants will be initially released. There has been no announcement on what variants will be released.

Kristoff Ottar-Spencer

Kristoff is correct. Anything else is spinning facts which some here like to engage in.

Michael J.

Aha! Thanks for clarifying that. I guess I will find out soon enough.it's not my style to spin the facts. I was sure I had mis read the statement several times.

Ok, now let me give my version of the story LOL.gifPMDG never confirmed, in any thread, forum or social network that's to my knowledge which models would be included upon release. What PMDG did confirm is that the -600, -700, -800 and -900 are under development / testing. The -800 was the first variant to be showcased. The -900 was recently confirmed to exist because of the livery previews. The -700 and -600 weren't shown yet, but PMDG confirmed on Facebook that they are being developed. Price wasn't announced yet as well. Regarding the -900ER and -700C variants, no one knows anything about them. PMDG has given a few words about the -900ER, but nothing conclusive. As they have also announced, military variants will not be included, maybe because of national security issues or... whatever. PMDG have announced that after the release of the NGX, they will start considering building a BBJ expansion pack. It would have its own model, with all the systems, performance and visual differences. But BBJs are not certain. Just a possibility. That's pretty much it about the variants.

That should be a fun little project for them, considering de BBJ can come in like a gazilion different configurations.IF they make the BBJ, I guess they will mostly focus on the range with the different aux-tank configurations.

They posted a pic of the -900 on facebook too. Last week or before that.
