June 4, 201115 yr Hi guys,A promess is a promess. Few days i was posting here about the new system that i got. (thanks Ryan once again: i'm having so much fun now that i feel like like i gotta thank you everytime i post here!!!). Some fellow captains have been posting here asking about the spec but above all, about the fps that i've been getting. i promessed once i would have all my addons, software and aircrafts installed (and believe me i got hundreds of those), i'd report about performances. One of you guys asked about fps at schipol airport which is a fps breaker.So as we are all eagerly waiting for the ngx i was wondering why dont we have a break a talk about something else? So that's the reason why i decided to put together a video especially for the PMDG community that may help you guys who want to build your own machine.Nice touch i think, the vid was recorded when flying on IVAO: So seat back, relax, and enjoy these 20 minutes! June 4, 201115 yr Nice video!What cooler do you use? I assume all that performance is due to the o.c?I have the same-ish rig than you, with the 2600k, 8GB ram and a soon to be GTX 580 3 GB... I keep thinking that its my crappy 9800 GX2 slowing me down but...

YAY you said it . i really can't wait to fly online with their birdThanks mate, I see you have* the same motherboard, and since my Antec 900 is roughly same size/bigger (right?) I think i'm going to get this cooler for my i7.Did auto overclock it btw? if not how exactly did you acheive it? How are you load temps on the cpu? Does the cooler come with a tube of paste?I ask alot of questions I know :(

Within 14 days i asked him like 20-30 questions, ordered the components on amazon and got them delivered.So, if you are tagetting the A70 cooler from corsair: All i can say is you cant go wrong with it: it is very powerful and cools the cpu extremly well.I tried the auto tunning mode but the vcore was too high so i oc'ed the cpu manually at 4.6 got a max vcore of 1.38V on full load and max temp of 62-65C(that's really the max that i have ) when simming.How exactly ? Good one. Just go in the Bios (get the latest version of it by the way) and oc it manually there. I think do it via skype would be safer .....(if you want). Yep the cooler comes with a specific compound but Ryan told me to get the MX-2 artic cooling . so thats what i have.Hope this helped Kaman BAHi,Could you post your FSX settings?You mean the sliders positions etc.... June 4, 201115 yr In regards to the h70 the paste comes pre-applied I left it that way and did some reasearch and it seems that leaving the stock paste is just as good saves you messing with it, I luv the h70 best component I ever bought you wont be sorry at present I have i970 overclocked to 4.2 and I know it will go more - fsx runs great with an overclock without not so good, good luck and if you need help with an overclock go to overclock.net they know Their stuff, they helped me a lot, good luck and overclock that thing lol :( Rich Rich Sennett
