July 2, 201114 yr 1. MPH tape inside of the airspeed indicator seems to be incorrect (are you dividing by 1.15 instead of multiplying?) It is always reading less than the knots indication.2. Cowl flaps selector is reversed.3. The "post" light knob doesn't seem to do anything.4. The plus and minus for the second GPS (for page group, and pages within a group) seems to be reversed, and only usable with the + side (in other words, mouse-wheel up makes the page go back, mouse-wheel down makes the page go forward, but only on the plus sign. If you do it on the minus sign, it only goes back)5. Transponder is a little wonky. I had trouble entering 0-0-7-6 (assigned by FSX ATC). It kept displaying "76", but the controller acknowledged radar contact, so it seems like, internally, it set itself to 0076 and was just a display problem.Other than those, I think this is one of the best Carenado releases and it's, by far, my favorite FSX aircraft right now. I had a bit of trouble with the landings (Seems like you need quite a nose-high attitude to avoid a three-point landing).I also wanted to comment on the flight characteristics. I think Carenado did a really phenomenal job here. The plane "feels" very realistic (granted, I've never flown a 210, only 172s), but this seems quite good, especially on approach and slow flight (it really flutters around right above stall speed). The takeoff without flaps is one of the most realistic that I've seen (a bit of a struggle as you pull it off the ground and then it kind of pulls itself up) and the accelleration after takeoff seems very realistic (e.g., I'm actually able to fly at Vx without the thing accellerating to Vy instantaneously). I struggle a bit with the amount of lift that the first two notches of flaps add (e.g., on downwind, set MP to 15 inHg at about 100kt, add in 10 degrees of flaps, and you really have to push forward to stay in a descent. If I don't push forward, I end up climbing; in a 500fpm descent, adding the second notch of flaps will put me in a 500fpm climb if i don't pitch down). I don't know if this is correct in the 210, so I am chalking that up to normal 210 behavior unless I hear otherwise.Anyway, this plane is a dream to fly. Great job Carenado! Oh, and both the clock and GPS mode on the HSI work! As I was flying it (KPNE -> KLNS) I kept noticing little things that made me feel like this is a well-done aircraft.
July 2, 201114 yr Author I almost forgot to mention, the pictures really don't do it justice. The animation, textures, etc. on this plane are GORGEOUS. It's really one of the best looking aircraft out there.
July 2, 201114 yr Yeah, this one is a goodie. The cowl flaps have been fixed (via the SP1 patch), although now (like their other models) you drag up on the mouse to push the cowl flaps selector down and vice versa. However, now when the selector says "Closed" they are closed. I know what you mean about the nose high attitude, but that is typical for this airplane (much like the 206). It does tend to sit a bit nose high on the ground, and I've seen many 210's that do behave this way. They got that right.Hope that helps a bit.

July 3, 201114 yr Oh yeah! The 210 has the most pronounced nose up attitude sight picture on landing when transitioning from a 172. It feels way to high and unnatural. However, once you get used to it, it will fly itself right onto the runway so softly. July 4, 201114 yr Gotta add, I really like this aircraft. Such an improvement over the old version that was a favorite many moons ago.Couple small issues, or maybe not.1) My oil pressure gauge is consistently above the green zone. Anyone know if this is normal? Never goes to red, but always about 1/4 over green.2)I have mixed feelings about not being able to swap out some of the other gauges. Caraenado has done a great job improving their overall 3D gauges, but there are some things I really desire in terms of functionality; Such as the ability to adjust the TAS card on the ASI. I've swapped out more than one Caraenado (and most all other developers) ASI gauge to achieve having this feature with the RXP version, even though I like the looks of the Carenado gauge, I desire that realism.Similarly I've always swapped out the ADF gauges on most every aircrfat I have with the RXP version simply because the RXP gauge provides a more realistic display by 'dipping' from external influences. After you use it, it is hard to get used to the 'locked-in' action of the needle of most all the others. But this is not major. And finally, it would be nice if the Garmin GTX transponder worked more realistically, but again, this is not a biggie overall.3) I also feel like this aircraft floats a bit on landing, but as the comments above, not sure if this is realistic or not. But, all in all, this things handles great, feels right, looks great, and is a great touring aircraft for both VFR and IFR use. Been checking on most all my flights (via the info provided by the RXP 530) and this aircraft really flies very very close to the numbers per the performance charts.Great job overall.
July 4, 201114 yr 1) My oil pressure gauge is consistently above the green zone. Anyone know if this is normal? Never goes to red, but always about 1/4 over green.I noticed the same thing, but when I looked at the pop-up ToolTip it reads 58PSI. I believe this would technically put the oil pressure in the green.FAC
July 5, 201114 yr I do too enjoy the plane. What it's missing is the ability to make popup shortcuts for the RXP swap units and having some sort of flood light for the radio stack. It's dark in my sim... I noted the post lights having no function in an email - maybe they'll do something about it. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Overall, while this plane is in the primary expertise of Carenado (Single Engine Land) aircraft, it is the first solid release in some time by Carendo, IMHO.I wish Carendo would take the time to make releases outside of it area of expertise, such as multi-engine aircraft, to be as solid an initial release as this.Cheers to Carenado!BillyBob BillyBob David M. I second your toughts, I love this plane, it has the best VC I've ever seen in any other GA Addon and the panel lighting is just awesome!!!And I love the RXP integration as well... Future releases are going to be very temping for me! More money....... David
