UA918 KIAD to EGLL

Featured Replies

UAL918 today is a B777 from KIAD to EGLL. I have taken the liberty to fly it as a 747. 918 departs this time of year at 1804 nightly, and arrives at approximately 0630 or normally earlier due to tail winds.

Wow...Tom joined the ranks of the "picture taker"...nicely done! :( Darryl

That #2 with the moon really looks good. Just something about it. And the 747 looks great no matter what.

Nice shots Tom. I'm guessing that you've been on this flight in real life.

Yes, indeedy. In fact, just did a flight overnight. 45 minute delay out of Dulles last night for a mechanical problem, but a smooth flight otherwise. Immigration at Heathrow was another story altogether.

Nice shots! Welcome to the forum :( hehe... You should post more often.

Now you can imagine what "we" feel like when faced with US Immigration, which as any non-US visitor to the States will tell you, is an absolute nightmare.Funny thing though, whilst I still rate JFK as the longest wait to get through, I'd say the quickest was LAX. And when I say quickest, I mean we went through the Immigration hall in less than 5 minutes....most US airports seem to be around 45 to 60 minutes. Sadly, that was the Thursday before Easter and by the time we'd picked up the rental car, we seemed to be lined up with ever other bugger trying to leave LA......took 4 hours to do 90 miles to Palm Springs and most of it on roads with 4 or 5 lanes.....each side!Oh yeah, nice pics too :-)

Cheers
