Achievements in Microsoft Flight?

Featured Replies

Seriously, we're having this conversation? Again?
sounds like you should just skip this thread and let the others have fun with it!LOL.gif

If you are looking for facts about Microsoft Flight then point your browser at the official Microsoft Flight website (but don't expect to learn much). If on the other hand you want mainly mindless speculation about Microsoft Flight, you have indeed come to the right spot! Regards, Mike Mann

I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in achievements......in any game.
I dont have any interest in that feature either, be it a game, or in this case a flight sim. I just like to do my flights, usually in an airliner, point A to B, then shut down or continue to another destination. I dont need the sim to tell me if I made a good landing or a bad landing, if the passengers liked it or not, if I just passed a mile stone of hours or landings, etc. Kind of the same reason I never buy addons that simulate that stuff ie. FS Passengers or things of that nature. I can tell well enough if I have flown well or not, I dont need the computer to tell me, kind of the same as having crash detection turned off. I can surely tell if I have crashed without having it on. Perhaps a feature like that would appeal to some people but frankly its not something I am interested. Heck, I rarely even look at the buiilt in log book or the awards section that is already built into FSX. For me those figures are pointless since the hours we log in the sim are basically useless for anything real world related anyways.

Would be cool if the achievements translated into MS credits or free add-ons for FLIGHT!

Sure, developers would love to give away free stuff just because someone made a landing at the _____________ airport on Earth.

I didn't mean 3PD add-ons, but bonus MS developed aircraft or something or MS credits to buy 3PD add-ons, other games do this. Highly unlikely anyway.

This would be a feature that I would not be interested in. Yet, I understand folk’s desire for it. Go ahead and include it. I see no harm.I have never flown a mission, never flown multiplayer, don’t even know where the log book is. I just want to jump in my plane and fly somewhere. That is still magic to me.I make my own airports and usually fly between them. Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

This absolutely screams GAME. Sorry but I prefer a flight simulator; unfortunately I am not so sure that Microsoft and the new people that they want to reach out to with Flight, want just a simulator. Regards, Mike Mann

You can easily have both .. todays FSX has the free flight and the missions (game like). It will be easy and straight forward to satisfy both.
