Hello -

 

Unfortunately, with all of the wild fires lately, I was able to catch a look at the beautiful DC-10 air tanker that has been helping to extinguish the fires. This got me thinking... a 737 would also make a great airtanker and would be especially fun to fly low over mountain terrain.

 

Would anybody be willing to adapt this airtanker paint onto a 737-800 non winglet? Fictional of course... for now anyways ^_^

what should that be? a 736 then?

For Myself, I would prefer the larger ones to Fly!... 700/800 or even 900 if this is possible... But I would be happy with the 600...

 

Is it possible to paint/ convert it for both, 600 and 800??? I don't know how costly/ extravagant it is..

 

The Original is an 737-4q8, what the code means,..I don't Know :(

4q8 is a Special Version of the 400. correct me if I am wrong someone please. I will give it a try for the 600 as I didnt do a repaint for 12 months now. I usually dont like doing a fake Version which does not exist in the real life but the paint sheme challenges me

ok I Need to correct myself. after doing a very quick test I must commit that the 600 is way too short. indeed the 4qs seems to be the same like the 800 at last in size. so I will do a 800 no winglets Version now

the 'q8' is the customer code for ILFC leasing. I.e 737-4q8 is a -400 owned by ILFC (leased out)

 

I.e  Qantas customer code is -38, so a 737-800 owned by QF is a 737-838

For reference, the NG versions that replace the Classics are as follows:

 

-500 = -600

-300 = -700

-400 = -800

 

So if the original in question is a -400, then a -800 is the closest in size.
