Did The Forum Go Down Last Night?

Featured Replies

Did the Avsim Forum go down late last night? Asking because could not access it and now my page layout has changed from what it used to be. I pressed Reset at the side and was still unable to access the Forum side.Main site was ok.

yep it did...but the reason why it did is simple, don't you see "things" have changed? LOL.gif ( that is the reason right? :( )

Think everyone's glued to the content of the 737 threads and not noticing life's other little details! I think the new look is great, David. And it's kinder on my tired eyes.. :( Ian

Reason I posted the question was because a couple of hours before, everyting was as per normal as it has been.I did not see any warning notice of a scheduled shut-down or the fact that look was going to be changed.I'm sure I'm not the only one who got caught out with the shut-down or the new look.

I was in the middle of writing a very long and detailed reply to a question that'd been asked in the Panel and Gauge Design forum... ...the entire reply was vaporized just as I hit the Post button! For a few moments I sat silently, totally stunned and even wondered briefly if somehow I had been responsible for blowing up the system... :(

That has happened to me a time or two myself and is really frustrating. However, as insurance against that happening, any long posts I type now, I copy and paste them into a temporary .txt file then hit the post button. If it gets vaoprized then I just start a new post and paste it and try again. It's saved me a few times already.
