July 30, 201114 yr I have been practicing my GPS WAAS approaches and have been thinking about buying the Eaglesoft SR22SE Turbo. Does anyone know if this planes GPS unit /autopilot support WAAS RNAV approaches?
July 30, 201114 yr Not the default ones but you can add the RXP units (which I highly recommend) to the VC. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 30, 201114 yr Author Hi Ryan,Thanks for responding. I have the RXP 430W. Would you be able to post the panel.cfg entry to install this unit in the Cirrus VC?Thanks
July 30, 201114 yr I'm not sure if that's legit or not. It's pretty simple though. First be sure to run the RXP config program and select it to "install" the GNS430 into the ES Cirrus. After that find the Vcockpit02 area in the panel.cfg (I use the WS panel folder), and you'll see similar data except I added all the RXP stuff and commented out the ES gauge code: //gauge06=ESGN430!ES_GMA340Hi, 1,1,500,102gauge06=rxpGNS!GMA340, 1,1,500,102//gauge07=ESGN430!ES_GNS430_1, 1,102,500,210gauge07=rxpGNS!GNS430, 1,102,500,210gauge08=ESGN430!ES_GNS430_2, 1,311,500,210//gauge08=rxpGNS!GNS430, 1,311,500,210//gauge09=ESGN430!ES_GTX330, 1,637,502,gauge09=rxpGNS!GTX327, 1,637,502,133 A quick note, at one time I ran both RXP units but I don't have the unlimited pack so it was stupid because the top unit controlled the bottom and vice versa (that's why you see the //gauge08=rxp... in there, you don't need it). | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 30, 201114 yr Also make sure what you are getting, because if I recall even with RXP your autopilot won't be able to be coupled in the vertical axis so count on the approach being purely manual, this is what I recall from older days. This was the limitation of the RXP box. Michael J.
July 30, 201114 yr Author HI Michael,I am not sure about this plane, as I don't own it yet, but my RXP 430W is able to direct the autopilot both laterally and vertically on other aircraft that I have.
July 30, 201114 yr This has been fixed. You can now fly with the autopilot coupled to the vertical axis, works a treat! Ty J. Peres - KBZN
July 30, 201114 yr Did ES release a service pack for this? Last I knew, the RXP GNSW gauges were not connected to the vertical axis in either the SR22 or the Columbia 400. Joe Brown

Last I knew, the RXP GNSW gauges were not connected to the vertical axis in either the SR22 or the Columbia 400.If I remember correctly, the autopilot will fly the glideslope, but the PFD does not display it in GPS mode. I ended up installing a VOR indicator so that I could see the glideslope.. //gauge05=ES22TXgauges!Stby_Alt, 463,774,247,245gauge05=rxpFLN!VOR1, 477,782,223,226 Bert
