Guys, tomorrow I will order my TrackIR too, so I too will appreciate any answers/hints etc :) Regards,

you have better and more accurate tracking or tracking at all with sunlight or light in general and even while smoking a cigar which the standart solution is having problems with

The proclip is a infrared sensor and doesn't get interfered with where as the track clip is reflectors that attach to a hat.

Kind Regards,

Using TrackIR 5, the standard track clip goes on top of your headset and uses reflections to detect, whereas the track clip pro uses IR sensors to track the position and goes to the side of your headset. See if you can check which way your room faces, if it's the wrong way you may need to be have thick curtains etc. TrackIR can be interfered with quite easily. I generally find the Track clip pro is a lot better with sensing where you are moving.

With the newest software, this is easily remedied. The Light Filter Threshold slider is much, much more effective in the latest TrackIR 5 software. I used to be literally unable to use the 'Clip Pro or the hat 'Clip in the late evening, even with the curtains closed, because of the Sun's interference. This is no longer a problem since the last update.

Ah, must admit I was using my memory of first getting trackir in a south facing room which was a good year ago now. I had a slight interference today, but not as much as before I'll admit.

I've found the TrackclipPro tracks you full range of movement much better. Worth the money. A work of advice, treat it very carefully. It's extremely easy to break. I've got a bunch of tape holding mine together at two places.

Thanks guys, I'll order ClipPro version, it's seems worth the money :) Regards,

Yes it does worth every cent. TrackIR has to come with Track Clip Pro, simple as that! The rest is a low cost/average results solution and you must wear a hat at home Worried.gif

I have the 'hat' version and I do admit I feel like Larry Dickman from the Dirty Harry movie.I didn't know about the Light Filter Threshold so I'll try it later on today,Apart from that,it's hard taking external screenshots of aircraft as they move with your head.
