August 5, 201114 yr Hi! Im not sure if this is something I should send in an support ticket for... Cause its not really pmdgs problem i think... The plane works perfectly with GREAT fps i might add... but as soon as i try to use fspassengers i get a crash to desktop...Other addons like radar contact and such works fine, but fspassengers doesnt work, i have disabled the weight and fuel from fspassengers so that it wont interfear with pmdgs loadmanager. Anyone that has this problem as well and are there any ways around this?(except not using fspassengers of course ;-)) Thanks/ Niklas Eriksson Niklas Eriksson
August 5, 201114 yr However cool FSP is I personally think it's not for the NGX since itself already has a perfectly good damage model built in. I am pretty sure you can switch that off though and then just fly to generate the cash and exp for your pilot but leave the failures and such to the PMDG model. The problem therein is that is takes alot of what FSP is all about away from the experience so my take is that with the NGX just not too use it. FRED
August 5, 201114 yr Author I dont (think) i have any damages activated in fsp... and the reason i use it is for "the feeling" that i have passengers on board, and the challenge in planning the time of the flight and so on... thats pretty much all I use it for, so its not really that necessary but it still adds a dimension of FSX at least for me;-) Niklas Eriksson
August 5, 201114 yr I hear you and understand completely. Do you manage the payload yourself or do you let FSP do it? I think those changes FSP does to the aircraft.cfg file might be what is causing the issue, If you disable that part it should be fine, I think FRED
August 5, 201114 yr FSPassengers is cool but their support sucks. Honestly if I could I'd strangle the developer with my own hands for the lack of respect for his customers. Don't count on any resolution from him either. Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |
August 5, 201114 yr The owner of FSP hasn't been to their forums in something like nine months. I have no idea if he (Dan) is replying to emails but you may want to start there. As for tech support there is none at all. I posted a question on their forums and after five days had not received a reply. I asked if there was any tech support and was told the only tech support is "community suggestion". So there you have it, use their forums at your own risk. Edward Smoker Sr.
August 5, 201114 yr Author Yea I have disabled all the payload and fuel from fspassengers so that shouldnt be a problem... :-Ssito671 : The reason for my username is actually a long story... it goes back to my high school, we where I think 5 or 6 persons named Niklas... and to make the story a bit shorter Nigge is a variant of Nicke that is the usual shortname for a person called Niklas (at least here in Sweden)... and has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with a word you might get when putting another letter at the end...I hope my username doesnt offend anyone! Thanks for the answers/Niklas Eriksson Niklas Eriksson
August 5, 201114 yr I think you have to actually make an aircraft profile in FS Passengers for it to work. Using a stock one may be why it is crashing.
August 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member FORGET AIRCRAFT PROFILES FOR THE NGx. No amateur home stuff I beg. Pretty please. Use the PAYLOAD/FUEL. Disable weight/fuel calculation from the FSPax respective menu. That's it and have fun using FSPax.. ==================================== E M V Precision Manuals Development Group ====================================
August 7, 201114 yr FORGET AIRCRAFT PROFILES FOR THE NGx. Disable weight/fuel calculation from the FSPax respective menu. That's it and have fun using FSPax.. How can I do this? I have not found where to disable it in the menu FSPax. CPU: Core i7-2600 3.4Ghz 8MB RAM: Corsair 8GB 1333MHZ DDR3POWER: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600WGPU: GTX 970 evga 4GB DDR5 OS: Wndows 8.1
August 7, 201114 yr How can I do this? I have not found where to disable it in the menu FSPax. There is a config file somewhere that allows you to turn off such things a crash detection and still have FS Passengers working. Can't tell exactly where to find the file as I had other issues with FS passengers (FSX failed to load) and I gace it up as a bad joke. Not prepared to trty again in case it stuffs up the good thing I have going right now. Andy Brockbank
August 7, 201114 yr FSP works so far for me in the NGX without issue. I do disable all payload modeling and failures within FSP for all my aircraft. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
