Same. Activation server seems to be having issues.- Dropped firewall/antivirus- Placed FSX machine in router's DMZ- Ensured FLEXNet licensing service running. Still can't activate product. Submitted trouble ticket.

no, no ...not rubbing salt I bought the bird this morning...installed and activated around 9am PST or so. The activation windo appears on the first FSX startup after NGX is installed ...I type in my code....waited about 30 seconds and it worked. Thats all. If PMDG is having problems again just hang tight and I am sure they will work it out

My problem was that when I started fsx, it didn't manage to connect to the internet. How I think I managed to solve it (otherwise it was just a problem with the activation server):

  • start fsx
  • go to freeflight, go into weather and select realtime weather
  • when I tried this, realtime weather didn't work, a message saying it couldn't connect to the weather server
  • click ok, try doing this again (without shutting down fsx), now fsx manages to connect to the weather server and download the weather, click ok
  • now select the 737 ngx from the plane list and enter the activation code
  • after these steps I managed to validate the license

I'm not sure if it's somehow connected, but I guess it never hurts to try

Gee, thanks for that enlightenment. Yes we know, we get it, you activated yours, woopy doo! Im so happy for you. How quit irritating those of us who arent as fortunate as you.

I can not activate mine as well. Tried several times. Gabriel Nieto

Patience. I got lucky, and got it activated last night. Its well worth the wait. But so frustrating for everyone to have it downloaded, and unable to activate. Hang in there. Make sure you are entering the right Key. the LONG one. NGXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, and not the order number.

I used the long one. Raising a ticket to PMDG. Gabriel Nieto

Same here, raised ticket. Hope for resolution soon. And update from PMDG as to when we can expect to activate

Keithy George

I'll raise a ticket too, hopefully if lots turn up they'll realise the scale of the problem. Seems noone can activate at the moment.
