August 9, 201114 yr Hello I am useing 4 monitors (3 viewing window and 1 cockpit) When i click on the cockpit window, all the sound except engine sounds disappears. Then when i click on the window monitor, the sound appears again. This is a problem, because i offen adjust some in the cockpit e.g. the autopilot. Help PLEASE :-( Patrick - Denmark i7 10900k - GTX1060 (To be upgraded to RTX3080-ti) - 32 GB of RAM - Nvme SSD - 100 mbps internet

August 9, 201114 yr Have you guys tried pressing the q key twice to "reset" FSX sound. When I change views with some aircraft in FSX, I have to press the q key twice to get the sound right again, if this is what you are talking about. Alfredo Terrero
August 10, 201114 yr Yes, I've tried pushing "Q" twice but that dosn't make the sound come back. I've actually submitted a ticket on this and waiting for a reply. This is my issue for your info - it sounds the same as Patricks; I load the 737 (all models do this). Set it up for "short". The APU is on and can hear the cockpit air condition going. As soon as I click on a knob, or flick a switch, or even bring up the 2D FMC, all cockpit sounds disappear. There's just silence. A few moments later by doing the same again the cockpit sounds re-appear. It's all cockpit sounds including the flap sounds on the quadrant. It doesn't affect the engine sounds because I can start them up in my silent cockpit and hear them. I'm using on-board sounds with extention speakers. The 737 is the only aircraft that does this. With a bit of luck someone in PMDG may come up with a solution in due course. Lets get the more important things done first. Bruce Ross Bruce Ross
August 10, 201114 yr Guys, Were looking into this issue - thanks for the information. Thanks, Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
August 10, 201114 yr Author q twice, doesn't help at all. Patrick - Denmark i7 10900k - GTX1060 (To be upgraded to RTX3080-ti) - 32 GB of RAM - Nvme SSD - 100 mbps internet
August 10, 201114 yr Just so you know - the "Q" twice is predominantly used to fix the FSX engine sounds when changing views - I recommend that ALL pilots do this because it happens all the time. Already ive seen a few youtube videos where the aircraft is parked at the gate with engines off but you can hear some engine sounds playing .... its a shame some people don't know about it .... spread the word !!!!!!!
