Cursor Flickering?

Featured Replies

I have flown the NGX on multiple flights with no problems, but on my latest flight, the cursor acted a bit funky. It would change from the classic arrow to the knob hand and secondary knob hand and back many times a second. I searched around and saw that others had this problem as well. Any ideas?

I noticed this too, everytime I start Rex. No Rex, no funky cursor. Willy

I've had the same problem without starting REX or ASE Bob Demarest

Try hitting shift - O (shift-Oh, not zero) and then hit it one more time... I've seen this a few times in FSX, and this has cleared it up for me. (btw, for those that don't know, shift -O is an interesting way to look around the VC)

It's back and the Shift+O won't do the trick this time. It happens every few flights. I'll update to the hotfix tonight and see if it is fixed.

No fix anymore. It happens randomly. I'll try to get you more details on my next flight.

just installed hotfix3 and I get flickering, pointer, hand, arrow

My flickering was consistant with running REX. Just did a fresh install of FSX and got busy flying for a week. No cursor problems until I re-installed REX this afternoon. Shift - O never helped prior too or after fresh install. Anyone else have the flickering with external programs tied to FS running? I do not have anyflickering unless I am running REX with the NGX. Updated Nvidia drivers 2 days ago too.I am not pointing a fingure at PMDG or REX, just trying to see if there is common ground with the flickering. It hardly bothers me and does not affect my ability to adjust knobs or switches. Other then the cursor flickering I have not had any problems with the NGX. This is an FSX thing - I've seen it a ton over the years with multiple aircraft (not all PMDG).

"This is an FSX thing" -- What causes the issue? Is there any way to do a "PMDG Workaround"? haha

Word. I've had this all the way. Right from vanilla to Hotfix 2. I'm not brave enough to install HF3 after all the things I'm hearing about it. Ill stick with 2 until something caves in.

Kind Regards,

Yeah it seems to be correlated to weather engines. It also goes away during certain parts of the flight and comes back later. Ryan, could you explicate on the FSX issue? I'm just curious.
