Tomorrow my new system will arrive and after years on the "dark side (fs9 - just kidding)", I will convert to FSX and spend thousands of dollars on purchasing add on's, again. First purchase will obviously be the ngx. What follows then will be determined after I figured out what previous fs9 purchases came with both versions (e.g. Md11, aerosoft sceneries etc.). Thanks to this forum I feel prepared regarding installation, tweaks etc., although any last minute suggestions are always welcomed. Cheers,Pete

Don't forget to leave out some cookies and milk for Santa !! LOL.gif Enjoy your New System !!! Fred.

Make sure to load up on ORBX scenery. Great stuff. As well as FSdreamteam, Flytampa, etc.

Thanks guys, my wife already hates me for spending all my money on aviation (I also rent a Cherokee and 172 IRL) in addition to my sim addiction. I pretty much have all fs9 add on's, I just need to figure out what purchases came with both version before I go on a shopping spree. I used to be a fs navigator bum, so I'm thinking FSC and REX first before I get into new sceneries. . Cheers,Pete

Funny thing: I'm getting a new system tomorrow, too, the difference being that I've been using FSX for years now and have pretty well all the add-ons mentioned. I'm going from a Q9300-based system to this one from NCIX ... although I've bumped up the processor to an i7-2600K: i7 2600K Quad Core HT Unlocked Processor Overclocked to 4.0GHZCoolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling SystemGigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 ATX MotherboardMushkin Enhanced Silverline Stiletto 8GB 2X4GB Dual Channel Memory KitGeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GBFractal Design Define R3 Black ATX Mid TowerSeasonic M12II 620W EPS12V 20/24PIN ATX Power SupplyWestern Digital WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6GB/S 7200RPM 32MB Cache Hard DriveIntel 320 Series GEN3 40GB 2.5IN SSD SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive (Set in Caching Mode)

Omg! What a great start, this system runs crazy good. I'm slowly installing some FSX add ons that didn't run well on my old system. So far with some aerosoft sceneries and the J41 it runs super smooth! I haven't bought REX or UT yet, but I will click the purchase button on the NGX right now......Gotta go, will report more on the NGX soon. Pete
