Doubling of FPS with latest fix?

Featured Replies

I realised soon enough that my older liveries were not too good. So I started FSX with the Cessna, changed to the PMDG livery ( WL) the only one left on the list And then went ot the airport of choice. My fps went from VC of 18+ to 33-45 ????? Outside view from 40 to 90 nice flightmaybe throttling back effect Im not sure

I think it's too early to be sure, but I am doing a flight right now with the new fix and FPS does seem a little bit higher. Might just be the situation though.

same situation and weather, I use ASE and like i said i went to the airport of departure using the menu bar options. but from 20 to 45 fps is more than just a little

Haven't noticed any FPS difference. I have noticed BLACK GAUGES THOUGH!

Back to normalOn approach at KSFO I am getting the usual 15 I think you have to use the house livery for now (reagarding blak gauges inop AP etc) the other liveries are out of touch maybe

[edit] My gauges are working again!

EGLL gate 309 with REX and ASE and 40%UT2 i get around 20-25FPS in VC at dawn before sunset around 7pm Anybody with Aerosoft EGLL who can test. it is quickly done. Thanks Michael

I had my first successful flight with the NGX last night after installing HF4 since purchasing 4-6 weeks ago. While successful it was not without problems, my flight officers guages were blank and after landing, using autobrakes and Rev Thrust once coming back to idle and releasing the autobrake I then had no brakes (period key) however the parking brake did work.Neither problems were show stoppers and I was very pleased to complete a flight at last.I don't know what my FPS was and I don't really care, the flight was very smooth on my 4year old Toshiba Laptop thats all I care about. Very enjoyable. Roll on SP1 Darryl Critchley

I don't see any noticable difference in performance between hotfix 4 and the previous versions.

Did you try turning the FO's gauges ON using the PMDG settings in the FMC? allenI wish I could retrack this thread. I am no longer getting such great VC fps, the same as before, maybe a bit more, but not double

I've never seen any difference in FPS between any of our versions post-RTM. Placebo I think guys...

Thanks Allen I'll have a look at that when I next get a chance to fly.To be honest if having the first officers guages off gives me any benefit then i will leave them off it doesn't worry me at all. Thanks for the tip, Darryl Critchley

I had the FO's gauges set to OFF before the hotfix4 so I got the same effect upon reloading the plane so did not notice anything new

I can't really say that I've seen improvements in the FPS area, either. At most 1-2 FPS. What I did notice, on the other hand, is that the frame rate is a lot more stable than before. Before it was jumping wildly all over the place but now it's really stable. Cool.
