Step 1) Uninstall Liveries and Uninstall NGXStep 2) Use NGX Installer with Hotfix 1, 2, 3 includedStep 3) Install Hotfix 4Step 4) Install Liveries
Above is how I set mine up and the 3 Options are there under Simulation Page 2. I know the hotfix updated cause all four aircraft files updated to
Current with Build: 1.00.2987
Maybe there is a glitch somewhere and it is not showing up for you cause you just installed hotfix 4 over top of everything else and did not do the reinstall. When I updated from Hotfix 2 to 3 I had another issue that was only resolved by doing a full reinstall with the NGX installer that had all 3 hotfixes included. Maybe PMDG can shed some light on why you guys do't have it. Remember it is not in the same location it was before. Its under Simulation Now. I also tested all 3 modes today to confirm they work and they do. Just about everyone has a throttle on their stick or whatever controller they are using unless your using a keyboard. So it should be there! Ryan or RSR any thoughts?

Just a thought, you guys are hitting the left button next to In HOLD/ARM Mode Only right? It only shows one Option at a time and you have to tap the button to cycle through the available options. Same applys for the Show Thrust Lever Position.

So it is different from before
LOL.gif (Sorry couldn't resist)
I have no hardware throttles so I don't know if any of those settings turn green when you choose them ?My NEVER setting is amber but the other 2 are white.....even when I choose them.
That is the way they display on mine too but they all work like they are supposed to. (I tested them). No they do not turn Green when you select them like the old way and how most of the the other options work. They probably used AMBER for Never for obvious reasons. (Ie Not recommended or Realistic).

I have tested with the AT manual overide set to Never (also tried with HOLD/ARM AT option) and I am also having issues with throttles overriding when thrust is in an actively controlled mode. Can also reproduce the issue using F2 and F3 keys, so I have ruled out controller noise. To reproduce: Apply ~60% N1, when stable press TOGA, confirm TOGA announced on EHSI, as the AT takes over I immediately firewall the throttles...at this point the AT disengages and power goes to >100% (max)....same everytime. Also notice same result in other AT controlled modes where AT is overidden when it should not be. Tested on some of my other aircraft (LDS767, PMDG747, E195), no issues, controller and AT operating normally. Something is up with the AT logic or perhaps with the option governing the manual AT overide.

System specs: Dual core E6300 (1.86g X 2), 2gb RAM, nvidea7800GT, Saitek yoke, CH throttle (6 lever), Soundblaster live.
Add-ons: FSX: LDS767, FSL Concorde, FT E175/195, PMDG 747X/737X, Active Sky E, some freeware airports.
Human specs: Desktop simulation since FS1, beta tester (LDS, FSL), 737NG simulator tech (Threshold Aviation), r sole+.

That is my normal way operating the TO/GA takeoff and my exact same observations with HF4 - something definitely changed for the worse. I have since uninstalled the NGX and reinstalled wih the full-installer, which contains the updates through HF3. It is now back to operating as before.

Any comment from PMDG on this? Just looking to see if the issue is recognised and under investigation, perhaps for SP1?

There is not going to be any tech support on Hotfix 4 issues and probably not many comments either if any. They released it to give anyone that wanted it a chance to have the latest version of what they are working on gearing up for SP1. But, RSR specifically stated they were not responsible if your Garage Burns Down, Your 76 Pinto Windshield shatters, or your Grand Mother gets run over by a John Deer Combine. LOL.gif SP1 will be out soon and everyone should just be patient until then. I'm sure they will update us when there is something new to share, and of course Ryan and Crew read the forums daily so they are aware of everything that needs fixing or tweaking.

"Ryan and Clan read the forums daily so they are aware of everything that needs fixing or tweaking." ...don't I need to write a ticket or detail an incident? Thinkin' they may want to address this for SP1.

Couldn't hurt and probably a good idea. I was just saying if you do not see them responding in the forums about hotfix 4 that is why.

Paul Deemer

I have created a ticket in support for this issue. Will post any updates sent to me on here. Keeping the blue side up. Rob.

I have had no response from PMDG support acknowledging the ticket I submitted, and no posting on here from the PMDG folks who monitor this forum. Please can someone from PMDG acknowledge this trouble report is under consideration for SP1? Thank you.

Have you signed back into the support portal & checked the status of your ticket? You may have just not received a notification email.

MrKen - right on the money, I am now working on the ticket with Paul at PMDG.

Support has advised me to un/re-install 737X and re-test. I did note there were multiple users with this issue and one or more reports that going back to HF3 resolved the problem. Will do as I have been asked to do and report back. Rob.
