Passenger Cabin

Featured Replies

Are there any plans to to develop the passenger cabin same way Captain sim has done with the 767?I do like to take a walk once in a while when in cruise , window views etc.......... i find this to be the only thing missing from the over all experience.

No, to much poligons.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

I'm not criticizing, so please don't take it that way, but I'm always curious why anyone cares about a modeled cabin. It seems like a waste of time on the developer's part, when they could be working on fixing bugs (especially in the case of that 767).

I´m almost sure they never will! (God thanks for that)A good looking cabin also takes lot of FS resource one needs in Flightdeck. If you wanna see the wingview and a lot of other spectacular outside views, then go and buy the Ezdok utility. With Ezdok you have the posibility to create lots of good views, when flying in a VC enviroment andthat´s the most important thing for me. / Leffe

You actually can go inside the cabin using the FSX commands to move the eyepoint. I've actually walked around the whole cabin trying to find the pogo stick.

I am already using EZdoc by the way.... u have misunderstood my point! im not referring to external views. Even i like my expereince to be as real as possible. Cabin views are internal and even in real life a pilot can visit the cabin if he wants. As far as your comment on it being a resource hog i must say i run a pretty high end system and i get good fps with the 767 cabin. Also remember you are in one place at a time. Not that u r viewing the VC and the cabin at the same time!I would like to see it modeled.

"...I would like to see it modeled"You wont and thanks GOD for that! / Leffe

The cabin is not an essential part of the flight, yeah it does add to the immersion but it does not do anything else and I'm sure that everything modeled in the cockpit is already enough work for any computers. What I would like to see is the abilty to change the cabin layout on the CDU: ability to define how many seat in first class, coach etc...

I am not a designer or a modeler but i would like to know since the passenger cabin dosent really do anything else apart from the visuals how hard it is to develop.

I like a cabin because once in a while I get 'nostalgic' and want to fly 'the good old days' of aviation, so when that mood hits, I jump into my 707, get to cruize altitude, give the FO the plane, and wander back to talk to the passengers and have a smoke, just like in the new TV series, PanAm LOL.gif I should add the for the NDX it doesnt matter, the cockpit door is locked, I never see the SLF's, and I have my Glock handy 'just in case' :-)

Your pogo stick is in the cargo hold. By the way that needs to be modeled as well

Hi,Please don't misunderstand me I don't want to make criticism but personally I'm not interested in cabin view at all: have you ever seen a real FFS level D sim having this feature? (I'd interested in cabin if I could have a real beautiful stewardess behind my virtual cockpit door..) I hope the developpers will always use the most part of the resources for implementing fligth dynamics not details w/o importance. CiaoAndrea Buono

It hasn´t anything to do with that, but it takes a lot of polygons, that takes a lot of resources that we needfor this beautiful VC itself. It could be that if we had a beautiful Cabin, then most of us properly wouldhave a NGX throwing FSX on it´s knees, with most of "nearly high ends computers" and I´m surelot´s of simmers will not have that to happen. / Leffe
