Pete Dowson came up with a good solution, and it works for me at least. http://forum.simflight.com/topic/75193-pmdg-777-a2as-c172-and-fsuipc-492/?p=459649

Mostly that this happens a lot with complex aircraft and that he doesn't plan on buying it so he can't test it. I offered my assistance to get him any data he'd need if I can, but I'm not sure he feels like it's his responsibility. E: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/75164-pmdg-777-and-throttles/
  3. I use 999 because it's not my fuel!
  4. I imagine it's so you have to order the printed versions from PMDG.
  5. xAlpha replied to neas1982's topic in PMDG 777
Sure, but PMDG probably isn't going to fix it, since they've already identified the issue and given a workaround.
  6. I haven't read the 777's FCTM, but I loved the 737NG's.

The reason I've been using FUSIPC for throttles is for the reversers (I have the CH Quadrant). For now, I've disabled it and have to use F2, but I'm hoping maybe Pete Dowson can figure out why it doesn't work directly with the 777 and fix it.

    I think it's a conspiracy.
  9. The difference will be night and day.
  10. http://www.asdnews.com/news-50249/United_Airlines_is_First_to_Install_Split_Scimitar_Winglets.htm I thought you guys might enjoy this. They look pretty sweet.
  11. What we need to do is convince Boeing to make a Bizjet using all the same systems as their current jumbojets, so there's less work for PMDG to do. THEN we can get a PMDG bizjet....
  12. I actually meant foaling, they'd be giving birth to baby deer. Or perhaps fowling, in that they'd shoot turkeys with muskets.
  13. http://www.aviationw...3_p0-548819.xml Not that I expect will see this on the PMDG version, since it's going to be a whole new model, but I felt it relevant. And funny. E: And I typoed the topic. Lovely.

Except that there isn't necessarily room. It's time spent in development that could be spent elsewhere. There are uses for 2D for home cockpit builders, especially for clickables (like with FSUIPC), but this is also 2012.
  15. Very interesting winglet design.
  16. I have several CS planes and I love all of them, but there's no way they look better than the NGX (or the 777/747 will).
  17. People who build their own cockpits want the 2D panels. The VC is useless for them.I don't see any reason not to have them, but it's PMDG's decision.
  18. I wonder if there will be a discount for the current 747 owners. Not that I wouldn't pay full price....
  19. That may be, but it works fine, otherwise. I have just about every control necessary (and some not necessary) mapped in FSUIPC.I have a CH Eclipse Pro yoke and the trim wheel does the same thing.
  20. Without being able to see what you're doing, it's hard to know for sure. Some common thigns include not setting your v-speeds, takeoff flaps, flight altitude....
  21. There isn't a 2D throttle pedestal. I wish there was, not for the throttle so much, but for the engine idle/cutoff knobs.
  22. Yeah, in Windows Vista and Windows 7, you should pretty much run anything as Admin if you want it to communicate with something else.
  23. -700 is definitely my favorite, as a Southwesty, but the -800 is second. -600 can be fun, but it feels... odd.I've never liked the -900.
