October 22, 201114 yr Just wondering if I am really the only one who is interested, and loves the idea of a shared cockpit for flights, VatSim flights really.I think that flying this bird, with all the realism that PMDG brought to the table, would just make having two buddies, across town, or country for that matter, act as pilot and CoPilot would be unreal. I can't wait for someone to develop something that will allow this. Just wondering though if I am the only one, because lately is seems everyone I talk to is not really into the idea, and has no real reason for or against it..... Maybe I am lonely...lol William Sequeira
October 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member I would try it, but I would probably rarely ever do it. Very rarely do I have the time to do a flight that doesn't involve pausing or time acceleration. I think it would be fun, but I just dont have the free time like I used to, I haven't even done a VATSIM flight in months if not a year. Noah Bryant

October 22, 201114 yr Think it be a neat feature - although not sure how often Id use it based soley on co-ordinating times with others to be available to fly when I fly. Regards James Carr
October 22, 201114 yr "......everyone I talk to is not really into the idea, and has no real reason for or against it....." I'm doing some shared-cockpit flights from time to time with the Maddog (the guys from Leonardo have implemented that specific feature that is incuded with the add-on and it works pretty fine). You just need "Log me in Hamachi " a free virtual networking tool. The problem is that you must really trust your partner because "Log me in" does not offer any protection of your personnal data. Once connected with you on the Hamachi private network your flying partner can access your whole system any time.... If I'm wrong please tell me.

Hamachi makes VPNs, or Virtual Private Networks. These act like a network you'd find in your Windows Taskbar Network button, but instead, it is limited to a group of people. This is why many people that play Minecraft and want to have their own server use Hamachi, so that outsiders can't join their servers. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
October 24, 201114 yr I love the idea. I just wish more people would support the idea as well. I'm behind it 100%. Is it still that way over Hamachi? Luis Cortez

October 24, 201114 yr "....These act like a network you'd find in your Windows Taskbar Network button, but instead, it is limited to a group of people ...... so that outsiders can't join their servers. "True, but as I said in my post this limited group of people has a full access to your data when connected to the Hamachi VPN (yours or theirs) .... and 1 person is enough to make you PC totally vulnerable."I've done a few flights with the shared cockpit on the maddog, but it's usually SO LAGGY for the PNF. Is it still that way over Hamachi ?" It is not, it works flawlessly on both sides PF & PNF provided that the PCs configurations are more or less similar
