It amazes me how many folks have apparently no idea where their original NGX installer is. It would seem only common sense that you would archive, on your own computer, any files which cost you money, or may be important to you in the future. At least keep your zips somewhere. I also keep a text file with all my passwords, secret key codes, etc. etc. It's a sad fact that software companies have to make it difficult on the honest paying customers to mitigate the damage caused by dishonest, thieving pirates.Save, Organize, Backup, Think Ahead

Yeah, I think ... but I've seen at least a dozen posts since SP1 day with folks who don't.

I keep all my downloads organised by publisher/creator (i.e. A2A Simulations; PMDG, etc...) and in their respective folders (I.e. 737NGX 8900 and 737NGX 6700 etc..) with a text file containing the serial information.I must say that such a system works quite well for me.

I frequently discover that my customers have 'misplaced' software media and licences worth thousands, even when I've put it in a box marked 'IMPORTANT SOFTWARE - DO NOT LOSE' in four inch high letters.

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

Most other vendors make it very easy with security to download products they have purchased. Flight 1 is a good example. PMDG is the only vendor I know of that has a download service fee.

One of the many reasons I could never be a software developer. I would consider all my customers idiots ... not a good attitude for business.

Yeah, "sucks to be you" & "sorry about your bad luck" are not good support replies. That's probably what I'd say half the time.
